My brand new GC controller works perfectly. You guys been CLACKIN your sticks too much, for too long.
Erm… I never had these issues :wonder:
Sounds like good reason to ban GC controllers from tournament play, so we don’t end having to pause the finals at evo because one guys C stick doesn’t work in the middle of a close and intense match, thus breaking the game. Nunchuck + Wiimote, or Classic Controller, or Wiimote should be the only options allowed
the fuck?
that’s like saying no one can use a mas stick in marvel because someone’s button goes out during a match and everybody should play on pad or some shit
You best be joking.
LOL @ broken csticks.
My gc controlelr works perfectly, only thing is sometimes when I jump and try to do uair, bair comes out instead cuz i accidentally press the c stick like 1 degree to the left:mad:.
everything on my gc controller works great.
Now that you mention it, Mas sticks are constantly blowing the fuses on the precious few DC’s that are left. Might be a good idea. But anyway, the whole point is we need to make sure that the match comes down to the two players, not what controllers they use and whether or not the C stick is going to break mid match
Holy shit, you weren’t joking.
Holy shit.
…what in the hell? I can’t believe you’re serious with your backward ass logic. :looney:
And for the record wireless controllers can have interfering signals, random desynchronizing, and dieing batteries.
Hmm, in that case, we should probably have a judge at each match sit there, and have the players tell the judge their moves, and he can decide whom should win. It’s the only way to avoid such random issues as faulty controllers : (
Having faulty controllers is the fault of the players using them. You should know before hand if your own shit is fucked up. It’s not the tournament, or the judges, or anyone else’s responsibility to make sure YOUR controller is working correctly.
If you lose because you CHOSE to use a shit controller, then it’s your fault, no one else’s.
With that said, I couldn’t even THINK to use anything else other than a GC controller. It’s the designated, proffered, and recommended controller by most Smash players. You don’t ban that because a few jacks didn’t take the opportunity before hand to get a working controller.
Try pressing L, R and start together on any screen (not L+R+A+start, mind you) and it resets the controller. Try that out.
Are you serious or is this a late aprils fool?:shake:
lmao at the idea of banning gc controllers.
jesus christ
Dude I wouldn’t take him serious no matter how hard he tries.
Douchebags.
There’s nothing wrong with our controllers. they actually work fine when used on a gamecube. I’m just glad to know that I’m not a member of the only crew having these issues.
Those controllers suck. Usually they are broke in a certain direction… Like you cant get the analog to register NorthEast until the stick is already stressed all the way in the NE direction. The buttons require you to press very hard on them. The only redeeming feature… is that the C-Stick seems to be better than the originals.
Actually, no. It’s true. I dunno if it works, though
Nunchuck+Wiimote/Classic Controller can run into interference issues in tournament settings where there are numerous units in use. That can cause controls to screw up and ruin a match. I guess by your logic we should ban those controllers too. We should probably just have people select a CPU-controlled character and let the game play it out so we don’t have any controller issues.
…
sigh
Anyways, lamewadd is correct. You can reset your cube controllers by pressing L+R+start. Smashers have been doing this for ages when controllers mess up for one reason or another.
It sounds to me that either your sticks aren’t centered when you plug in the controller or start up the game OR you’ve (ab)used the controllers enough that the sensors are a little bit off in your c-stick. If the sticks just aren’t centered or you are depressing buttons when you start the system, then the system registers that state as “default” so it won’t recognize inputs later on. Resetting the controller usually fixes this problem. If the button sensors are screwed up, then you’ve probably got to get a new controller. Even if it works on the Cube fine, the Wii might have different protocols for reading and interpreting the data coming down the wire to the system, so you might just be SOL.
EDIT: hehe… fixed. New Brawl habits. LRAstart is backing out of a game.
