I think this was just supposed to be a stroll down memory lane. You got FGD people feeling slighted because they didn’t get mentioned (why not let GD have its lousy list? OK, you’re a serious SF player, we get it, don’t you get enough recognition at tournies and from your serious SF peers?), GD people saying “wah, I didn’t get mentioned” (suck it up & walk it off, it’ll be OK), people randomly trying to validate their existence and “worth” here… basically it’s karma/post count/rep bull$hit all over again in another form. Elitism within elitism, and my brand is better than yours; have to 
at that.
If it means much to you, then it probably means too much. Try taking a week away from this place, then come back and see what you’ve missed. And ask yourself if it’s worth getting bent out of shape about. Take SRK for what it is, and no more. Don’t try to decipher the meaning of life here. Stop looking for serious discussion on serious topics. Don’t read too much into e-relationships with people most of you wouldn’t get off your ass to go meet IRL in a million years… and many of whom may not even be worth meeting. Just get your laugh on, watch that YouTube vid or whatever and leave it at that. now more importantly… i was going to let this adam warlock guy keep bantering incessantly, but insulting me after i tried an amicable route crossed the line, especially when it was obvious that my point had been made and i tried to clear up any misunderstanding. so instead of fueling the fire of e-thugness while reenforcing my initial point, ill offer 2 challenges.

adam warlock feat. his “ooh snap” e-thug team(articninja, hunter d)… 3 on 1 … we can run this as a round robin on any of the games listed above. i’d rather run this one for cash seeing as your teammates seem to put less stock in their srk identity. we can either play 5 matches on each game for $10 each… or do a 3 on 1 tourney but run it in jap style 3 vs 3 fashion(i lose to any of the 3, i lose) for $20 a game.
this is the only manner in which i feel the issue i brought forth can be settled fairly. i am giving pretty rediculous odds for never having seen adam warlock or his pallies play. the fucked up thing about this is it all stemmed from a simple inquiry regarding why people seem to view GD as the most important part of these forums, or even the site as a whole. e-thuggery ensued… so now im bringing it face to face. kthx.

The title was just a title. Obviously, it’s a list geared towards General Discussion, since I posted it in General Discussion. I didn’t have the foresight to say “SRK GD Memorable Posters” because I didn’t think/realize we’d have FGD factions or whatever to complain about it. If there was a thread in FGD titled “SRK’s Most Infamous/Famous Posters” I’d expect the list to be populated with FGD posters. And then, if we were to talk about the scene IRL, of course it would change dramatically (Maybe I might have said “SRK’s Most Infamous/Famous People”?).
I don’t think anyone actually thinks that SRKGD is the heart of the fighting game community or whatever. I mean, honestly, I put Bloody Youkai at number 1 for infamous, and does he have any relation to anything that’s gone on in FGD (did he even post there?) or in real life? Obviously not.
I think it’s incorrect to say that GD’ers aren’t fighting game fans. Why else would we have ended up at a website called shoryuken.com? We’re fighting game fans, talking about non-fighting game stuff in the forum made for that. It’s like when you’re at the arcade, and standing next to your buddy…sometimes you talk about the fight you’re watching, or game strats, but sometimes you wanna talk about the date that went wrong last night, the upcoming movie you want to see, or how many 5-yr olds an adult male could take on before going down.
Me personally, I’m a huge A3 fan. Went to B5 and part of the first Evo. Met the Cannons (doubt they’d remember me). Played against some of the top players. I don’t play so much now, and the forum doesn’t have a regional thread for where I’m at, but I still drop by a-cho to get in some A3/GGXX Slash when I can.
