When I made the list, I just put it up for starters. I thought people would add their own lists and what not, not take mine as THE list. It’s cool that a lot of people thought I got it mostly right though.
When I made the list, I tried to take into account posters that have made a lasting impression. There are a lot of peeps who’ve been here for awhile but haven’t really made any noise. And there are some people who made a lot of noise but were only here for a short time. I tried to pick the people who have been high-profile the most. And remember that it’s only 15 per side - which isn’t a whole lot.

yo koop… i know you play games, and as i’ve stated, i did not post just to cause beef between folks. i can see how it might appear to an outsider that i was “riding” DSP(sounds very ghey), but this topic has been on my mind for a very long time; dsp’s post, if anything, gave me a sense that “hey… im not the only one that feels this way”. my disdain stems from nearly everytime i get on these forums, the first thing i see usually goes a bit like this… around 50 ppl in fighting game discussion, 100 or more in general discussion. so i figure there must be something interesting going on in GD, but every day it is the same shit over and over.(i know this can be said for FGD as well, but atleast we are on topic:) I often think to myself: “if these kids put as much work into their street fighter game as they do with “guild wars” or “who is the cutest” posts, we might actually have a shot at japan some day”. being here from the beginning and watching the focus of the site drift farther and farther from fighting games(with an understood bias towards capcom) has left me, and many others, jaded.
There’s more to talk about in GD and it’s a nice place to relax and such, thus more activity. And GD can NEVER be off topic unless we’re talking about fighting games. That’s why it’s called General Discussion, because it’s a general discussion. People don’t have to devote their entire time on the internet to revive an already dead scene. The effort your spending now could be spent doing anything productive. There are few times when we all couldn’t be doing anything better so even bringing that up is pretty dull.
But…its General Discussion man. Damn near every topic in here someone can relate to. People who do play games come to take their mind away from the daily dosage of SF. Lets be real, how much SF/MVC…etc can you take??? I know I can only do so much before I am bored. People who are jaded are cats who can’t/dont know or do anything else…sorry. People from DSP to DUC have come an posted in this forum. When something hot comes up or “freebies” come up…suddenly everyone and their momma is coming into this forum. Not everyone here is kids, though some may act it. We come from different backgrounds and styles. Some cats enjoy AMERICAN IDOL…some like myself ENJOY 24…me an you enjoy the producers thread cause youve even posted a link to your music within there. So if your feeling jaded you should first see what is going on before you cast judgement man. Its A LOT of knowledge but like LIFE you have to learn to weed out the ignorance/kiddy play from the rest of the good stuff [you guys do so in Fighting Game Discussion]. I’m probably older than you, I’m willing to bet I have a higher degree of education, and I’m financially secure enough to back my own endeavors. I admit my engineering profession probably doesn’t pull in as much income or excitement as your job being a bus station dick depository, but it pays the bills.
