SRK Training Team (XBL)

Alpha Kazuya(Sa) Vs EyeLoveSF4(Ry)

(Sa) 2 - 5 (Ry)

Ryu - It has been some time since a Ryu player gave me literally hell lol. Your combos where on point, good linking, whiff-punishes, your mind games where pretty good, hell you have almost the whole package, tick-throws were also good, although because of the lag, more then once I tried lo jab you out or even tech it but your throw would go right through it… You have a strong ground and air game, no unnecessary jump ins, and good predictions. Some times you did to many shoryukens which would leave you wide open for me to punish but I keept fucking it up by doing the wrong whif-punishe because of the distance(c.mpxx TU), which left me wide open for you to punish back, how sad lol. You hit confirmed almost every time, something I must polish. The only negative part was that you would, in some cases fail the infamous srkxx FADCxx Ultra, doing a EX srk(don’t know if that was on purpose or not). You knew the matchup pretty well, not jumping in all crazy, having a strong ground game, using that c.mk that “outpokes” my s.lk and c.mk. I admit my execution wasn’t on point in the ballte, I messed up more then once, or twice, and I did way to many TU randomly. I also did some stupid TS from range 3, because of I got all workedup lol.

I hope you can pointout were I failed so that I can work on it.
It was nice to play a good Ryu, hope we can do it again, 1st to 10.

I need to play Dictaitor, Sagat, Blanka, and some good Chun’s. Somebody please hit me up!

I remember playing you on the AllisFighter ladder just after the game came out. Would be nice to get some matches in and see if I’ve caught up or not lol.

vs. Shirase Akira

You could really apply pressure when you got in on my Dhalsim. You mixed up pretty well and when you dealt damage you really put a hurting on me. I lost count of how many times you just outright punished my ultras using invincible frames.

When you weren’t in I felt I was zoning you pretty well and you seemed like you had a little trouble getting in. I felt I did a pretty good job at stopping most jump ins. I felt like you could have teched some of the throws that I got in so you might want to look at practicing on that. I like to do some of Dhalsims short slides into throws.

All in all a real pleasure to play against you. You are one of the first people I’ve played on SRK and its always fun. Thanks for the feedback and look to our next session.

vs JuicyMack

Awesome akuma. hard to give advice since i don’t play akuma a lot so i’ll just say things that i disliked playing boxer. vortex setup stuff. I hate it, and i usually try to exheadbutt it too much, sometimes i’ll backdash but for the most part i usually don’t just block cuz i hate having to eat blockstrings. So i think lots of that is good. Also i think more fireballs midscreen. If you stay out of my jumping range it’s usually good and if i’m charging too much you can just keep throwing them. The only person you should really worry about me getting ultra is sagat ryu and akuma i’d have to like forward dash/ultra stuff and it’s not easy if you’re throwing fierce fireballs. I mean i dunno you played great! Sorry i couldn’t give you more then a FT5 i’ll try to fit some more time in next time. Thanks great games!

Alpha Kazuya

Sagat

Alright man, Guess i’ll start off with your Random TU. I felt you did do way too much. I wasn’t sure if thats the way you play like that on purpose or if its a habit you have but like anyone else you vs would say, Don’t random TU so much lol. Also i would say hit the training room and work on your Anti-Air on Reaction instead of mashing TU after blocking the jump-in. The only reason i let you TU me so much after a jump in was cause i thought you would stop after getting baited so many times but you did it over and over again. You take no damage whatsoever from the normals so there’s no point in mashing TU and hoping i would miss my block string besides a small chip damage from a hado.

Every time i baited your TU i only threw you cause i felt that there was no point in doing any combos since I’m playing against someone that mashes TU during a block string especially online which i would have a higher chance of missing my block string so that was why i didn’t punish you more than i could of. I would also suggest you to learn Sagat’s Hit confirm BnB combo’s like his 3x c.lk, TU. I didn’t see you attempt it at all besides Sagat’s frame trap i’m guessing. Lastly i would say mix up that neutral crossover Throw LoL. I could of punished every single one of them but i didn’t think you would do it over and over again too. i could of reversal’ed SRK’d all of them if i didn’t try to hope you would stop.

I was in a rush to get off cause the kid was bothering me and kept asking me if he could play so i was a bit distracted and yes i was missing my SRK, FADC, Ultra. I was training with Guile for like 3 hours straight in training room before you invited so i sorta had to habit to charge Ryu during our fights  but next time we’ll have a better fight tho maybe against my Guile. (Switching Main to Guild Soon)

Over all you’ve got a good Sagat coming along. Just work on Mix ups - and BnB Hit confirming.

Good Games and We will definitely play First to 10 next time.

I’ve started coming into the IRC and shit, hoping to get some good games in! My Dhalsim is decent (and is getting strong!), but definitely needs work. I’m always trying to get better. Add me!

Alpha Kazuya(Sa) Vs Hadoukidd(Mi/Ry)

(Sa) 3 - 9 (Mi/Ry)

First of all congrats for your major evolution in a few days.

M. Bison(Boxer) - Your Boxer was pretty solid, good ground game, good combos, your HeadButt into Ultra was on point. I must say that you could practice on some longer combos, maybe a bit more advanced, to keep the pressure going, I think that you should practice hard on the tick-throws, I would go to trainning room and do c.lp c.lp throw to hit confirm with the dummy on random block. You could use you FA more often.

Ryu - Very nice Ryu, I remember you doing the c.mkxx EX Tatsu, Ultra in the corner 3x in a row LOL. Nice setups for the Ultra, you hit confirmed a bit which was good, maybe to many random SRK’s, your jump ins were reduced comparing to last time we played which was good to see. I think that you should practice the srk FADC Ultra, cause I haven’t seen you do it at all, and it will change your game if you get it down.

Broke my te stick!

I was playing against Gutabo2, and I keep losing with stupid shit happening all the time cause of friggin’ lag(this has been happening for the last 2 days…nice capcom! Nice!), got frustrated and smashed the buttons in LOL, then I tried to write a message and I couldn’t so I FUCKING jumped on the retarded ass stick. This means that I can’t play until my next stick arrives SORRY!

**what’s up everyone. just dropping by to let everyone know i’m still alive, lol.

i’m working with kyarisan to set up a new system that’s easier to manage and keep up to date since i don’t have time to spend 30-60mins each day at work to be on srk. don’t even have that time for sf4 when i’m at home…

so, please bear with us while we get things back up and running.**

Lol wow, you gotta calm down. Im sure you know more than me, sticks are too expensive to be mashing.

i need someone to play. I want to be apart of this group. I posted my info twice here.
XBL is the same as my name here. I will be on tomorrow night at 11pm

Sorry to hear that! :frowning:
Lag was bad…

It’s all good I just don’t understand why I got so pissed off?! Maybe cause I try to take the game seriously, but with the lag you just can’t play the game at pro level, I guess I just have to stop playing seriously and start playing for fun again(I don’t lose for fun LOL).
But I don’t think I’m buying the TE Round 2, cause they probaly make a new one for SSF4 with somthing new on it(wireless like the Hori for Tekken 6, or something related to the new gamplay), may be I’ll just sit this one out, until my Tekken 6 stick bundle comes in.

EXPLANATION PLEASE!

I don’t know if I got the info wrong, but if someone is going to throw you, you can basically, tech or jab them out? Right or wrong? I can’t tech or jab people out when I’m playing! Is there some frame trap or something like it, or is it just a bad netcode?

Rokubear,

You kicked my ass. I hate your Guile. I hate your Cammy. :frowning:

The only thing I could consider changing, would be the sonic boom at the start of the round. Every round, that’s what you did. Cammy can’t do anything about it, but when I was screwing around with Ryu, I could tatsu at the start of the round and almost guarantee the first hit.

You’ve definitely leveled up.

edit: Shin Kazuya
You cannot out jab a throw. You can out jab a tick throw, but not a regular throw. The timing for throwing is very strict, lag can mess that up. If you want to tech a throw, either option select (time the grab while holding down back) or try to grab your opponent. The actual grab is easier to do, but it leaves you open.

Thanks! That helps, didn’t know that!
