Weaknesses: Nervous when getting rushed
Characters Good VS: Zangief, Shotos
Characters Bad VS: Honda, Abel, Blanka
What I Need to Practice: Execution, staying calm under a lot of pressure
vs Mr.SNK (Honda) 4-10 SNK
Very solid Honda, I can’t really critique other than don’t jump at me so often
Seriously though I have no clue cause you’re the 2nd Honda I have played so I had no clue how to approach the match up.
I managed to keep rounds close but would blow it on something I didn’t even know could happen lol. We’ll be playing more for sure cause I refuse to lose to a random Honda at a tournament cause I didn’t know what to expect!
Dude fun set!
Um… Lets take it from the top.
- The reason for the jump-ins was just me guessing when a fireball would come out.
Sometimes I could score a good jump in other times I at a Ultra. - You have some solid links down but I think instead of going for cr. :lp: x3 dp you should just do two :lp: into dp. You missed a few Ultra set-ups because of that.
- If you score a knockdown go for some ambigous cross-ups, Ryu is really nasty imo because if I guess wrong I eat either a Ultra or another knockdown to guess again from.
- Save your Ultra til the meter is either Full or it’s going to end a match, a couple of games I would jump in on purpose only because I had the health to spare and you wouldn’t have a full meter in the end or even an ultra for that matter.
- Stop throwing fireballs in the beginning of the match, your best bet is to either back up, block or air tatsu away most of the time. Only because if you do it and I guess right well you lose 40% health from a rough jump in.
- If you have me zoned start throwing fireballs then doing a :lk: tatsu for meter as the fireball is traveling across the screen.
- Whore out Cr.:mk: a bit more, it’s really nice and you can get some easy push and meter build from it.
- You had some solid Air to Air but after a while I knew you were going to Air Tatsu out of the corner, try and fish someone a few times to run away and then after they are seasoned go for a DP xx Super/Ultra.
- Don’t be afraid to bust out Red Fireballs while I’m in the corner and you have meter, it’s a great bait that will easily land you a nice Ultra.
- Be more patient with your fireballs a few times I was able to either Super or ultra because you through em out like you were sagat.
- Over all you have good fundamentals and just need to work on your match-up experience and execution.
Great set and I look forward to playing you some more.
Thanks great feedback! I really have to get it into my mind to start using my usual links. I usually do c.lk > c.lp > srk but lately I’ve been playing Boxer players and that is weird when it comes to him so I’ve strayed away and it’s killing me hehe.
I also didn’t try cross ups cause I figured you could headbutt or buttslam and it would auto track. . .but I’ll keep it in mind to do more spacing tactics
Knowing I posted what feedback I could for my first couple sets of matches with people on here, I’m still looking for and would really appreciate any critique you guys have for me.

Dedication: Training to… just train. SF4 is really my first dedicated fighting game and I wanna kick ass in it. D:<
Characters: C.Viper
Strengths: Not sure of many at the moment. I’m new, as you can tell.
Weaknesses: Not really knowing what to expect during online play. I’m like the only person around my town that plays SF4 so I don’t know how other people play.
Characters Good VS: Don’t know?
Characters Bad VS: Ditto.
What I Need to Practice: Really need to practice everything. Execution with Viper too, but… that’s not a big surprise since she’s one of the hardest characters to master.

Great use of links with your Ryu. You had me going there for quite a while, but these fights made me realize that every player really does have a strategy to their fighting. However, every strategy has a flaw, and you must find that weakness and exploit it.
In your case, I noticed that you had a tendency to do air pokes which can be dangerous to anti-air, particularly Elf’s Ultra if whiffed or countered. You may be better off doing an EX air Tatsu instead to mess with the opponent.
Because of your rapid fire normals, it made me realize that I had to think outside the run, and counter with a cr.MK which help tremendously.
Also, don’t count that Abel match. I was responding to a message I received just as we entered the select screen.
Anyway, I must say that I get a lot more out of these training matches than a championship match, and I’m not just meaning new skills, but a lot more fun as well.
vs. KumaOso
yeah man those matches were fun. i knew you werent playing when you picked abel.
-after the first few games you really started to mix up your wake-up game well which i had really tough time dealing with. During the first few games you kept trying to use the tortilla move constantly which i was escaping pretty easily.
-you were using the off the wall jump in attack fairly predictably , a few times you baited out a DP and only punished with a throw. I dont really know a whole lot about fuerte but i assume there are some heavy damage combos or the inifinite that you could use to punish me.
-you adapted well to how i was playing and i didnt have an answer for you after you did that.
so some things to work on are use better punishment combos instead of just throwing, make sure to keep your opponent guessing on the wake up, and try to limit jumping in predictably.
fun games overall and i hope this helps.
Tournament is still going tonight!
7:00PM PST (10:00PM EST)
Deadline is at 7:15PM PST
Log on to XBL and send me an message to let me you are on for the tournament. Just show up and you’ll be entered.
Believe me, if I could pull off the RSF, I would’ve done so. So, I was limited in options. I suppose I could’ve countered with a lvl 3 FA, FADC, c.HK,xxEX Guacamole.
As for my predictability, I understand well what you’re talking about. The repetitive tortilla I was doing is another kind of loop with El Fuerte, but it’s difficult to pull it off consistently. I need to more ambiguous when I do wall jumps as well.
Anybody want to get in some games, send me a FR I have the ability to record now too…Will post up for critique from the Forum.
I will play you first to five.
I wanna get in on the tourney tonight.
Sorry I didn’t make the tourney. . .work was a bit hectic and we closed a little longer than I expected
Hey GGs to everyone I played in the Tournament.
Wkwong, killa kelley, Solerion, and… Solerion again hahah.
I had a lot of fun guys, don’t know what my schedule will be like for next week…
vs ryboy igi bison player
well your bison is a monster, but he can be beast with simple changes. you have your jump space coverd and you know frame traps as well to. you also know how to perma-lock. My only suggestion to you is that you need to learn more combo’s. you landed i think st.mp you could have linked that to other normals not sure which ones and depending on you pick you could have ended with a special which equals free knock down, which i a good thing to do. + it means more damage for you giving you the mental edge against even the most experienced players. Footsies. they where good, but they can always be better. I was winning because i was landing more damage because i utilized my pokes a bit better than you, but you used all of his pokes to your advantage towards the end of the game. I was always in range to punish a move with a hard hitting combo. One more thing, Bison doesnt have the luxury of throwing out a move. He isnt Sagat or Zangief. You cant waste a single move because your damage out put is on par with Vega, Zangief, Sagat, Gen, Akuma, Gouken etc. That means once i punish a mistake its hard for bison to come back. You have EX head stomp but its hard to land in top play and learning to play in top form even in casuals is a must. So every time you throw a move do it because there is a reason, dont throw a slide unless you know its safe, not punishable and there is the chance for it to hit. Also against characters with air throws never EX head stomp they will simply jump straight before you get to the head and slam you down. with those few improvements your bison will be beast.
vs Clydebyrd
your zangief was good. but you could have gone for crossover shenanigans against vega for free all day. no escaping there for free. your combo’s where on spot and you know how to play zangief right. cant give more suggestions because never tried to play with him.
Vs Juicy Mackin
Akuma
I know the way I was playing wasn’t the way you would expect me to but after taking a couple hits from your Air Hados, I decided to just build my meter so you would be more careful with your Air hados. You got your BnB down pretty good which fucked me up pretty bad. Those Ex Dive kicks were nice but started to become predictable since you started to get aggressive cause of me backing off. So you came in and took a SRK, Fadc, Ultra. I’m not sure but if i back off like that you should of just backed off and let me come to you since you got life lead
It would become a Stall game but if your at life lead what does it matter? If you just sit back with your life lead it would force me to come to you but you got desperate maybe? not sure. other that that i don’t know what else to say.
Good Games as always!
Vs Newbkills
Ryu
Well we only fought FT3 so its kind of hard to give a feedback.
You seem to stop doing SRK on jump ins for some reason, I’m not sure if you were missing SRK or bad reaction but it gave no pressure to jump in on you. Your hado spacing was a bit off this time but i know you have it in you. Probably the 3 bar connection like you said. You tried to tatsu over my hado which was weird seeing you do it but maybe it’s cause i was throwing too many hado? Don’t know but it was the first I’ve seen you try to do that, in our past games you never did if i recall correctly.
I was pretty sad that i missed my Fadc Ultra on you and then you whiffed your SRK but since i felt i should of lost that game, i just stood there for you to finish me off.
There isn’t much to say because your Ryu is Solid, so its kind of hard to give a feedback that would help you.
Anyways awesome 5 intense games. The challenge you give me is what helps me learn more but like i said i wish we could get a better connection and play it out longer.
Vs Secti0n 27
M. Bison
Your Bison is pretty good but you barely used his specials. Pretty much waited for my jump ins and S. RH me most of the time but what happens was that you started to do it way too much and started to miss them.
Throw more Head stomps when you know I’m going to be neutral jumping because i pretty much neutral jumped every time on your wake up, for some reason you didn’t punish me on my bad habit. You like tried to ultra me once or twice only through out our 20 games especially when you had those FA on me, you would just sweep.
Work on your combos execution while under pressure cause you missed about every cross over hit confirmed and you would just cross over again and miss another combo. If you miss it i think it’s best to grab me because i just sat there thinking you were going to scissor kick but you didn’t.
Those Psycho Crushers in between my missed block string was a nice idea.
Try to tech more, after a bit you caught onto my C. mp, Hado, Fadc, Grab.
Those EX Scissor kicks really cost you so be careful with those. You would throw them out without hit confirming and it cost you an easy win. I’m guessing you were trying to go for chip damage kill but it failed so i would suggest doing an EX Head stomp instead. I’m not sure but it seems to do more chip damage ( I have no clue since i don’t play Bison at all ).
If you score a knockdown if it’s a non tech-able knockdown then cross over because half those times you would knock me down from the 2nd hit of your scissor kick which you still had some ground to cover but tried to cross over and ate a SRK , Fadc, Ultra. Also watch my meter, Every time i have 2 bars get ready to block and try to bait my SRK, Fadc.
Anyways GGs man, I hope this helps I’m a noob with this Feedback stuff. Hope to play you some more soon.
ii thought u was bullshittin me…thats why i just rushed u…didnt make sense wat u was doin lol but yea
