SRK Training Team (XBL)

I’ll be on later on 2nite (got company right now) so hit me up with a FR or message so we can get a set in.

**vs Amazin iz B4K **

GG’s last night man, your ryu is pretty good. Your execution is pretty solid, and you have a good rushdown. There was a few times when you were working me in the corner. You seem to get a lot of the basics but there are still a few things you could work on:

-throwing out fire balls at close range is not a good idea unless you are going to use cr mk to poke first. Otherwise it is just too anticipate them and jump over or in my case headbutt through them.
-use tick throws more. Walk up throws are good every once in a while but if you keep doing them your opponent will catch on. Try to mix it up by throwing in a block string and then throwing, or even just a low jab or low short etc.
-There was one scenario where you landed a level 2 focus on me and then followed it up with a srk FADC ultra. Good work on the execution, but the FADC was a waste of meter and caused a lot more damage scaling than you would have got had you just ultra’d me after the focus.
-Don’t use wake up srk’s quite as often. I baited out a lot of them, and every once in a while they hit, but i had free damage more often. If you do insist on using wake up SRK, us the jab version as it can lead to ultra if it hits and is a little safer if blocked (but not much).

Keep up the good work

someone play me…please

vs. EMP Justin Wong

Abel - your abel was ok, i liked your mixups but i think you’re a little to predictable with them.

Rufus - your rufus is definitely really good. you should probably try to get me into more 50/50 situations, i think you try to play too safe. maybe that’s why you were losing.

Boxer - your boxer has some good footsies. you let me jump in a few times for free but i think it’s cause it’s online. nothing else to say.

vs DisBChance

alright im not sure what your game plan is when you play me. However, i have noticed a huge change in the way you play. I will rarely get rushed by you and when i do its nothing like how you use to be. Im not sure why that is? If your not going to rush me…i suggest you always keep moving…and play the footsie game. Always jump over fireballs and focus through which you did a few times, but you should switch it up so you dont get predictable with jumping over fireballs and get baited into a shry. Also i noticed you stopped random headbutting a lot, but you did it a good amount of times, which i think you should stop doing…and especially on wake up. You also started every round with getting hit by a fireball and not sure why?..just try to slow down and asses how you want to go about beating me. Last tip i have to give is to add in some focus breaks to stop me from focusing you so much…GG as always we will play again soon =)

Loved the consistent punishment of my jump ins.
Loved the fireball zoning. I want those skills.
Your cross-ups were consistently painful. I need to learn how to defend those.
Great Ultras. I don’t think you missed a one.
Your throws were frustrating. Very nice

I was able to scrub my way out of your block strings with SRKs a couple of times.
Your fireball absorption was giving me some undeserved damage on you.

vs Kyroc4ever:

Need to stay on the ground more! Couple times you would jump and be greeted with a HK, then jump right after to be greeted again. Need to play footsies more, sway back and forth and know when to really jump in on me. Had some good pokes into throws on me, need a lot more of that. Also need to try to match some of my fireballs, so you can build up meter. GGs and hope to play you again soon.

vs EyeLoveSF4.
got my ass beat the f**k down like to the gutter and around the damn corner.
since I’m a noob who can’t even win a round, thanks for taking the time to beat the sh*t outta my Ryu.
I have no feedback for EyeLoveSF4 since he beat the crap outta me.
Maybe change the color of Ryu’s gi more often?

vs StevenMcAwesome

Your Sagat is pretty solid with the zoning and spacing. I realized i needed to play footsies more but damn you put plenty of pressure with Tiger Shots. Your knee isn’t too bad neither, but aside from falling for a few tick throws and kara throws, your game was pretty flawless for a Sagat vs Ken. I wanted to try my M.Bison vs you, we’ll have to see if I do better in that setup. I’ll try and work on more footsies and crossups if possible to be less predictable with my Ken as well.

GG’s man u have a solid ryu it took u longer to adjust to bison then it did chun solid ground game and some good mix up’s i liked the fireball fadc into the sweep i was even hyped to play ryu for those 3 or 4 secs while i was on the ground  anyway gg’s

ok this review will be referring to out games when i was gouken unless i otherwise specify. You have a lot of bad habbts dude.

against boxer. VERY PREDICTABLE. example: c.lpx3, pause, c.hk. this was your only blockstring and because its the only thing you did i was able to punish you over and over and over with counter and FA. when i put you on your back and you were fullscreen away you consistently did an ex rush punch. because you kept doing that i was able to do fb then ultra, fb then grab and just grab. Do not do ex rush punches from FS away, its not good. you also did many non AB moves which led you to eat FA time and time again. I was doing so many FA’s i thought eventually you would catch one, but you didnt until we were almost done playing. You need to adapt faster, those FA’s were murdering you and i was not afraid to do them cause you werent doing anything to stop me from doing them. you also didnt pressure me at all which put you at a great disadvantage, having you not in my face is where i want you to be. i will say that you were good about landing that ultra after headbutt, you didnt miss it one time.

against your sagat. you didnt really do any of the TS pressure that sagat is good for. you also didnt do any of the TK blockstrings that work so good for sagat to apply pressure. Wake up TU is NOT your friend. You did this so much and just threw a lot of your health away. Furthermore, doing RANDOM TU’s is REALLY BAD. That one match you beat me when i was able, you did so many TU’s i was in shock, hell you did 3 TU’s before you did any other move. I rolled you did TU, i walked towards you and you did TU, then i jumped over and u did TU AGAIN!!! I just couldn’t believe it. sure they hit me, but i will tell you this its not something a highly skilled player is going to do. After i realized how careless you were going to play with him, it didnt happen again. I played a little more cautious and punished you when you did that crap. which leads us into Ryu

against your RYU. this will all be against my abel as you did not play my gouken as ryu. I thought it was bad with the TU’s when you were sagat, but with ryu it was 10x worse. after i would score a knockdown i would approach you and wouldnt even be close enough to you to even block the DP and you did it anyway, and not the lp version you went for the fp one. You did this MANY TIMES. which led you MANY losses. on top of that you just threw out random dps to boot. i cant stress to you how BAD that is. also, dont throw Fbs when abel has ultra, it just gets you killed.

overall, i could tell you had some knowledge of the game, could do combos if you were able to start them, but your overwhelming bad habits and random moves cost you life and matches. work on that stuff or you arent going to win very often

vs jdeez42

Pretty solid rog overall. You finished most of your combos and caught a lot of my teleports. And I got punched a lot for throwing red fireballs too close.

Definitely don’t do EX Dash Punches from full screen, as Akuma can just ultra on reaction. Also, maybe be more careful with the jump-ins, especially when Akuma has ultra. There were a few opportunities where I could have ultra’d and taken the round, except my execution was crappy.

GGs, I feel like I learned a lot. Looking forward to a rematch

Ryu:
Solid execution. Solid gameplay. Spacing is well done. Through my experience against you haven’t done nothing wrong. So good stuff!

4-1 ** or 5-1** NinjaCW

vs. Sho 7 Gu n God
Ryu:
Great execution man. Those combos were sick. I seriously think you didn’t even tried to jump in on me once throughout the matches which is good. I was waiting for one LOL. So my c.fierce is useless but I missed those whiffed hurricane kicks and just c.jab instead. I don’t know if you purposely let me jump in but you let me do it a lot. You could of easily just c.fierce my jump ins because they were obvious. So maybe you should work on your reaction for AA unless you intentionally wanted me to jump in on you. You really helped me as well I learn how to implement Rog’s normals in a different way. Oh yeah, don’t fireball in Rog’s headbutt range. I got you a few times with the headbutt which is cool! :] Got me some dmg haha! All in all, fun ass matches. Hope to play you again!

5-4 vietxmikey

Vs Frylock

Your Chun kills me every time I don’t know what to do. Like you already know, just stop jumping in so much. Some of our combos could have been longer, for example: after you got me with a target combo you would not take best damage you could.

Vs. Newbkills

Awesome Ryu, less jump-ins will do you some good, other than that… nothing.

Vs Frylock

Good use of normals with your Chun. Not sure what you could’ve done better against me. The best advice I could give is not give up on footsies so soon to stop so much jumping in. And get that link for the EX legs down so you don’t miss it next time.

Vs Viet

Need to use boxer normals as they are really good. You seemed to not know what to do about my spacing so I can’t really say nothing there. As I don’t know match ups that well either.
