Ya I kinda knew a pattern you had with your throws, thats why I threw out the ultra, except for one ultra which you punished me on. Thanks for the praises tho :wgrin:
i feel so ashamed…i haven’t played with her in awhile
I think i should again…i would feel much more comfortable with myself if i did that
naw it’s all good. If you play viper, I need experience against her anyway. Cammy mirrors are kinda boring. You going to West Coast Warzone?
How many of us are going?
KellyKelly,
Good stuff man. Sorry for randomly leaving like that. Should said last 1 or something. Next time I’ll stay in there for the long haul.
The Good: Zoning, Mixups, getting your ultra in, and counters. I really had a hard time doing my standard rushdown game against you. Required a lot of stuff I was uncomfortable with to keep up with you.
The Bad: Be careful about your hadoukens when I have EX meter. I can Spiral arrow under your fireballs, but I don’t know the timing too well. EX makes it easy for me. Wakeup tatsu I kind of figured out towards the end as well. It got me real good at the beginning though!
I was really confident against goukens 'till today…
Ryboy,
We need to go over our matchup more. You didn’t know how to counter a lot of my stuff. Your combos were good though.
The good: Headstomp mixups. They got me quite a bit.
The bad: Need to learn what to do against my TKCS. Focus on doing jabs instead of light kicks and use your standing roundhouse more. When you do that I have to resort to my ground game, which needs more practice.
We’ll play again so don’t worry too much about it. A lot of people tell me once they play me regularly, playing other Cammys are easy.
I personally think I have a long way to go. I’m still a scrub.
now i feel doubley ashamed…i gave viper the week off to get some work in with rog/akuma/ryu but that was a big mistake…i cant hit her FFF anymore. Fail
oh, sorry for spamming the thread fellas. To everyone out there, send me a fight request sometime and i’ll get our matches recorded. I think i’m up to 91 friends now, so i casnt really accommodate a massive surge of FR’s, so just send a random fight request maybe you’ll catch me on live. I play ALOT…I have noo job and the fall sessions dont kick off until late september…so i’m mostly on from 11pm-2 or 3 am and sporadically online during the day. But evenings you’re almost gauranteed to catch me online

you have a great cammy, like i mentioned earlier i havent seen anyone put the tkcs to use in a match before. i usually just see it from across the screen and thats it. so that made things a little interesting for me. i did find the necessary ways to deal with it, but the fact that i could not tech when you werent doing it was really shitty. like you threw me so much, its not like i wasnt trying to tech. there was no lag either so it wasnt that. idk, my timing must have just been off i guess. i wasnt aware of her ex spiral arrow, i was trying to bait that ex hooligan. its all i see from cammys dealing with fireballs. you threw out i think one hooligan and not when i thought you would. so thats something for me to keep an eye out for too. ex tatsu only works like once or twice before its rendered useless. i got a little carried away with it. its really dangerous to do on the smaller characters cuase it completely misses them if they are crouching. im pretty sure i could have zoned you more, but i wanted to see what your cammy had cause i found it very interesting, since i havent seen any play like yours before. its all good about the taking off thing, i was just hoping for more games. I get so few with characters other than ryu, and i signed on for this team to get a variety, not play the same damn character over and over and over and over again. i also wanted to play my abel since i also signed up here to improve him. hope to play you again. as for tips for you, you got a little predictable with cammy, which allowed me to get off some counters. for example after you did a jump in i could c.fp it. then right after you would jump again and then do CS, this happened 3 or 4 times. overall though you are pretty solid with her. look forward to playing you again.
vs Jdeez42
when we played i was really hoping to see your boxer, but i got honda instead. Im pretty familiar with the match, so i know he has a REALLY hard time with gouken until he gets close. However, you werent really able to get in close on me. some things you could have done would have been to use the sumo splash a little more. i usually see hondas do one then do another right after to keep on the pressure. This would have served you well especially when you had me in the corner those few times cause its really hard for me to jump out when honda is flying at me as i am trying to jump over you. note that Gouken has a tough time if the pressure is on. also, it doesnt hurt to just start walking forward and creeping your way to me. you dont necessarily have to take to the air. I have a variety of ways to kow you out of the air as you saw. also, i noticed you liked to use your ex stocks for sumo plashes instead of headbutts. In my experience, the ex headbutt is more effective than the sumo splash. It pretty much acts like an anti air and really does wonders when people try to cross you up.
against my abel it seemed like you had a tough time as well. Good shit realizing i could not punish lp headbutt though. that made thngs a little harder for me. when you started to play a lot more defensively and made me come to you it made things harder for me. that was good as well. try to remember that i can ultra you if you do a fierce headbutt and i block it or i can do my COD. you also dont want to be jumping so much against abel, it seemed like you were panicing cause you did not want to get thrown. but as you saw it was not hard for me to knock you out of the air. you can try other things instead of jumping everytime. its ok to jump away, but dont get predictable with it, mix it up. There were also plenty of times that when i tried to go for throw if you would have saved your ex stock for headbutt insteaf of splash i would have taken a heafty chunk of damage. lastly dont just throw your ultra out randomly or in anticipation of me doing a move. Everytime you did it i countered it with my ultra. Save it for when its garunteed. over all though good games and im looking forward to playing that boxer next time.
Vs WkWong11
You have a solid Ryu. This to improve on would be your BnB and your AA. I got alot of free jump ins.
You had a good zoning game and forced me into actions and often mistakes. You got me with SRK>FADC>ULTRA a few times. Good execution on that.
Improve on your AA and your BnB. Hope that helps (O, and your Elf needs work )
GG’s!
gg’s to you to man ur rufus is really solid i don’t know much about rufus i know his dive kick beats my ex sbk and u was doing that so ur rog really scared me and it took me a min to adjust to what you were doing if it was tourney play you woul of sent me to losers or knocked me out of the whole tournament all together good stuff all around was fun hope to play you again
MartinRobu vs Damoney21
Nice fights…
MartinRobu
You have a good Ryu but I see that you miss your links half the time vs Damoney21. I don’t know if you were playing around some of the times but I notice that you need a little more help in blocking. You do you FADC good but didn’t fallowed up on it after a SRK, other that that you have Ryu BnB pretty good.
Damoney21
Well You play Ryu a whole lot better than Gouki, Abel, and Ken. I know you wanted to switch to Gouki but it takes time and dedication and understanding when using Gouki. His health above all is the first thing you must consider when using Gouki and being too aggressive is not the way to use Gouki. The best Gouki player in the world which is Momochi and he ain’t a aggressive player more off a counter striker but when he’s on aggressive mode watch out…lol but your Ryu is really good just when you do his BnB get the timing right cause you had alot of chances to catch MartinRobu with Ryu BnB and could of won some rounds even matches when you use Ryu.
Hopefully my input of watching you guys video helps!!! I’ll should be back on the action no later than the 2nd of Sept…I got the RROD so I only watch whatever matches ya post in here but GG’s guys keep up the good work!!!

can be much better.

bad vs: akuma, guile,…
what i need to practice:
a lot! reaction time, combos using in different situations,…
vs KiLLaKeLLy, apparently also known as “KellyKelly” to some, good games last night even if we only had a few.
Your mix up was very good and annoying I should have made of my EX-OGA escape more often when I wasn’t sure what you were going to do. I jumped in a lot because you weren’t keeping me out with Fireballs which I usually just FADC through and then MKxxHands. But as you informed me you were trying to get a feel for Gen’s ground game.
I’ll admit I was salty when I lost. Anyone would be if they got back thrown and half life was gone haha. Mainly though, wasn’t mad about the damage or the set up, but I was mad because I thought I was teching those throws, no idea when they weren’t teched especially with that gigantic tech window.
I’ll try to get more games with you. We’ll both learn the match ups better.
:china:
edit: just realized I critiqued myself more than I did you.
We didn’t play for too long so I don’t have much to say. I’d only say, fireball mix up more, but you already explained that to me.
Good games again.
ha i use abel and ken for fun, especially ken… akuma is more of a secondary now than trying to switch to him. and thanks for the input. i see what you are talking about. Instead of punishing combo i just swept. Gotta fix that. Thanks again
vs MartinRob
nice ryu and very solid. I think can’t see a MAJOR problem with your ryu, but little problems here and there. One of them was your FADC’ing. I feel in our first couple matches that you messed up a bit. I remember i got a round off you cuz u missed me with your srk into FADC Ultra. But near the end you did get ur shit together, but i still recommend your practice that a little more. Another thing is the (i think this is what you did) cmk -> hado -> Fadc -> cmk -> hado. I think that you could change that so you do more(i think, im not sure how it works). Seems like you can just do more than another cmk -> hado. maype try using links, or if i blocked the first cmk -> hado go straing into a grab. which brings me to my next thing. Use a little more throws in your game. If you see that i block your link, right away go for that grab. All in all nice ryu, and GG’s hope to play you again.
edit:
man after watching those matches again i noticed two jumps in a row is a BIG no no
can you change my listing to M.Bison - Akuma - Ken?
i think im dropping fei long, and searching for that 3rd character to use, so ken’s just a rough work in progess
also ima try and get up with Bey Bass tonite since ill be on most of the night.
don’t wanna hold things up here.
What’s going on with the tournament? Doesn’t look to be updated.
I had the same problem teching the exact same throw. I think you have to tech it later than other throws.
I’m going to go on big throw teching practice session in training mode and I’ll post up some feedback if I find anything interesting.
vs Snip3rBlad3s (FeiLongSucks)
Really good Fei, man. A great challenge, and I know the main reason things got a bit more challenging for you is because you’re still getting used to the arcade stick. Put alot of good pressure on my Ken, good execution with the stick (your FK > FADC> CW > Ultra worked nicely once, but a few other times you’d whiff, just stick with the arcade stick and train until it’s butter). At times your game was a bit predictable though, and it wasn’t hard for me to punish that. Mix a few more normals to interrupt, and tick throws. Good work with the command throws too, btw. (Gotta work on that with my Fei Long)
Pros: Solid AA, good cross-up, good pressure, good combos, pretty good execution (just keep workin’ on that TE stick), good command throws
Cons: Mix more normals, get used to the TE stick, so your execution is always on point. Few more tick throws. Change your name! (FeiLongSucks lol)
GG, want to challenge you in a week, when i know by then you’ll be perfectly solid with the arcade stick.
Sorry for not commenting on last weeks fights. I was busy with work and playing SF, by the time I got to do it I couldn’t remember how all the fights went. Played too many people from here in a short time.
ClydeByrd (ZA) vs KiLLaKeLLy (GO)
Good games, really frustrating for me though. That matchup is a tough fight for me, its like fighting akuma only the fireballs are comming up and he has more life, which is usually the deal breaker in the akuma matchup.
I could get in and do good damage on mixups but if you guessed right you’d get away everytime and I’d have to go through your fireballs. Not much I can critique on because I think we both played the matchup correctly till I got frustrated. Anyone vs Zangief = Keep away!, which you did very well with him, fireballs and back hurricane kicks. I tried to throw off your rythm by playing argressive round and then slow, which worked for the matches I won but overall you won the other half of the matches. Only thing I should have not done, was green hand unless it was safe because by the time I got frustrated at dodging fireballs I would just do it even though I knew you could ultra me. Very few fighters can frustrate me like that, not even Seth users. Better not give me any tips on getting around those fireballs because its over after that!
I agree with Asian guy, OMG at that back throw to Ultra. Im Teching, Im Teching!!!:annoy:
Sour Grapes, Good Games Kelly!
ClydeByrd (ZA) vs Final Goose (BA)
Keep up the practice man, your Rog is getting alot better since the last time we played. What I noticed you did differently is used more of that jumping fierce to tag me, and alot more normals. You also tried to throw me on wakeup alot more which is very good for Rog to create pressure. How I feel about this matchup is that Rogs specials actually work against him vs Zangief. Once you dropped the specials and just came at me with a smart rushdown I had to game up. Also, with Rogs headbutt, make sure you only ever do this if I am already in the air from stupidly jumping or you link it in a combo. If you do otherwise you will always eat an ultra or SPD.
Good Games Goose!
KiLLaKeLLy
You got combos on top of combos with gouken. You got good zoning, I was never able to get near you most of the time. Good punishment on my ultra, also you had a very nice ultra combo when you had me in the corner. I tried everything to get near you, and it was near impossible, I should of used neutral jump more and just worked my way inside more. Playing you was getting me frustrated because I couldn’t get near you and I felt so overwhelmed by your aggressiveness. Didn’t know your dive kicks beat my HBs. As Abel, you have a very good mix up game. I was getting crossed up left and right, don’t really know how to counter that well. You would punish my fp HP with an ultra, I think you caught me 3x. I gotta stop guessing on my ultras, I would think you do your wheel kick and get you with the ultra, but it never happened. Everytime I would HB you to the corner, you would just keep dashing forward, and I didn’t know how to react. Overall GGs, just when we finished, I saw you uploaded a replay of your gouken, very nice.
Sorry for the delay with the tournament. Current brackets have been updated again.
We are missing a few matches to continue. I’m trying to get mine still in loser’s bracket. If you have a partner, feel free to play them when you see them on to get things moving.
so i guess me and Bey Bass don’t play now? it says BYE on it?
we arent on at the same times really, so that’s fine with me.
just let me know
ARBIE21
Oh ok my bad on the Abel and Ken…Also keep trying to perfect Ryu overall cause thats you BnB man and you have been improving since our matches last month man so keep the good work going. Also like what you wrote Ryu’s BnB instead of sweep bro you’ll start seeing good results and the more confident you get the better your skill’s will be.
One advice don’t be afraid to try new things during a match with people in this site bro cause its all a part of learning even if you get damage for mistakes its all good cause that will help you to learn what you did wrong. Good luck and 14 more days guys and I’ll be back on!!!
