Female cast- Soulcalibur. Setsuka, Taki, Sophitia, Mina and Ivy are strong designs and major badass.
Male Cast-3 way tie between DOA, Tekken and KOF-You have a super all around classic videogame hero in Ryu Hayabusa/Ninja Gaiden who is a main character in DOA and a major badass as well. Bass, Leon, Bayman, Brad Wong, Gen-Fu and Jann Lee are very strong designs as well. In Tekken, most men are big evil sacks of douchebag sweaty steroid monkeys which is 99.9% of the male cast…and then Lars. And KOF has classic winning designs with the likes of Terry, the Ikaris, Kim, Jhun, Yamazaki, Billy Kane, Geese Howard, the list goes on.
Yes. Character designs are very important. Gameplay is #1 and designs are #2 for me.

Voted “fighting gal”, I exclusively play girls in fighting games. Being a huge fan fan of fetish porn, I always like how you can beat the crap outta a big muscular guy using a sexy little girlie.

All the chars there are very original, completely different in styles (and gameplay), and the girls look really cool there. They’re all very different in both personlaity and design.
I would be motivated to learn how to play all af them if I wasn’t completely obsessed by Jam.

Not sure what to say here… I am not a big fan of guy-chars in general, but I will say Samurai Spirits (I play Nakoruru and Reira though…).

Iunno, I’d have to say that KOF has the best cast of non-slutty female fighters. You have Athena, Mary, Kasumi Todoh, King, Kagura, Yuri, Leona, Kula, Vice, Mature and Vanessa. They have a diverse moveset between them.
Yeah, yeah… KOF has a nice girls rooster. I agree with that. (it would definitely be my second choice).
But I just have waaay too much love for Jam, Milia, In-o and Baiken! I have to go with GGXX for the favourite girls cast.

I usually float towards the oddball characters (Dhalsim, Blanka, Oro), which would explain my love for pretty much the entire Darkstalkers cast. Though I also like characters who tend have a bit more style in their movesets (Dee Jay, Rufus).

If my avatar doesn’t give it away I’ll say Darkstalkers, as I tend to like gothic style looking chicks (Lilith being one of my favorite game characters) but there’s also a few oddball females there as well such Q-Bee. KOF gets an honorable mention as well for a few badasses like King and Elizabeth.

I like Street Fighters roster of general stereotypes personally. The Japanese sumo, the American military man, the patriotic Russian wrestler, and Spanish pretty boy for example all seem to blend so well together in a fighting game. A shout goes to Tekken as well for, as was stated earlier, for having men who actually look like men, and some of which are badass to boot.

It’s not a deciding factor, because as with most the gameplay comes first. But a colourful cast of characters is of course a huge plus to the game.
If that was too long to read I’ll sum up by saying I like goth chicks, mutants, stereotypes, and non-girly men.
Does that mean if I use chicks a lot, I’m actually a chick on the inside? Even if I am a straight male? Hmmm…I think Dr Subzero should stick to throwing ice pellets and ripping people’s heads off.:bgrin:
I like the characters from Guilty Gear. And, I like Guilty Gear. Tell them that my opinion is the same as everyone else’s and to MAKE ANOTHER GUILTY GEAR.
