SRK Mini Mafia: Proving Grounds - Team Fortress 2 GAME RED - BLU Victory!

But even though its late, I’ll come up with something… give me a sec…

Then all you had to do was suggest No Lynch more strongly. You could’ve easily backed me up when I said we could No Lynch. You could’ve backed me up when I said NOT to Lynch a Wallflower, which again, would point to you.

I literally did everything, albeit indirectly, to try and either No Lynch or Lynch other targets but you decided to stay silent. Now the target’s on you and you show up.

No need to thank us for your fuck up.

I wanted to lynch GodotsRevenge originally because he came in here talking about, lets lynch inactives, when in an 11 man game, inactives are a less likely occurence, and it left him scott free for a lynch…

When he was on the chopping block, he was trying to deflect the lynch, but for what? I’m one of the only civ roles in the game, so something is immediately fishy about him…

Azure is also ambiguous, so I was going to try to find out who he was and start playing my part, but somehow, here I am, up for Day 0 lynch that everyone seemed more than willing to follow…

Also @Saitsu, that legit anger, seems believable, I’m pretty assured that you are civillian…

Oh don’t get me wrong BullDancer, if you do turn up Innocent or UC, Godot’s ass is next.

The thing is, this is a game without vets. There’s no one to follow. This would’ve been your chance to step up and get things rolling. Yeah, Mafia could’ve possibly painted a target on you but as you saw, you ran a risk of getting targeted by the Civs.

But feel free to keep going, you might turn me. Maybe.

I sent in my investigation target at the beginning of the game and try to let things ride out, no lynch was to cover my ass when the lynch was picking up steam…

At least keep a threat against mafia in the game, because if medic protects me then mafia will have to guess whether they should attempt to kill me or go after another person…

Nurse, do not step out and tell anyone when you are protecting me or provide any hints to your identity, if I can make it past Day 0 I can at least get (at some point in time) an investigation target in…

I’d suggest protecting me this night phase coming up though  then after that protect me randomly and make mafia do guesswork, use your own discretion on when to protect me and when not to protect me…

Also before I finish, would anyone like to counter claim my role…

If a mafia counter claims, lynch both of us, if no one steps out, I am the UC, point. blank. period.

Unlynch BullDancer No Lynch

I want to stay in now

Okay, that explains why you’re in Proving Ground because you really should know that calling No Lynch when people have decided to Lynch is just ASKING to look suspect. At that point you were better off not saying shit.

If anything you did yourself no favor by calling UC. Now they’ll kill you and stop your Last Gasp even if you make it past today.

If the Last Gasp blocker wasn’t in effect I could’ve made a deal to keep you alive one more day. But now there’s no reason to. Either way you’re dead and we aren’t getting jack shit from you.

O

I had a horrible feeling that BD was a civilian role and that we might lose the medic. Having him role-claim has now pretty much backed us into a corner. On the one hand, if he’s mafia claiming UC he may get a free pass for a few days.

However, I believe that we stand to gain a lot more by keeping him alive. By having BD alive we have a proverbial carrot for the mafia. If the medic decides to protect him then mafia will miss out on a night kill by targeting him. However, if they choose not to hit him then we get a confirmed investigation that night phase (barring medic intervention).

Personally, I’m 100% for not lynching him. If he turns out to mafia I know this post will bite me in the ass but we really can’t risk losing a role on our very first lynch.

Actually I feel like shit for being the one to spark up the “Should we lynch inactives?” question that pushed us in this direction. Not gonna it’ll be quite the blow to my confidence if BD is UC.

If I let it mellow, my name had traction gathering by three different people, people would’ve lazily picked my name by tomorrow, and been like “Oh that guy was the UC”…

So the chance of even one investigation not coming back botched is not worth the effort? Wow, i see why you are in the proving grounds too lol…

I would give the result of my investigation before dying… and not in my last gasp… I was forced to come out so here I am…

But again, what do we get for keeping him alive? The Mafia would be completely moronic to not try and lynch him. The Medic could get a save but then he gets no Investigation. If he’s not saved then he’s killed before his investigation goes through.

The second he Role Claimed was the second he screwed himself. He could’ve easily made attempts to implicate Godot a bit more since plenty of people are suspicious on him. But now even if he’s telling the truth or not he’s forced our hand.

No matter what he won’t make it past the second night phase. Only way he’s even MAKING it to the Second Night Phase is if we turn around and lynch Godot and he’s actually Mafia. Because if he’s innocent, we wasted it and BullDancer lived for nothing.

There’s only one way I’ll accept a switch to Godot and that’s if the suspicion of Godot is at such a high that you can almost guarantee he’s Mafia.

We get a meatshield. It’ll mean there’s huge pressure on the medic to play a meta game but it’ll mean the mafia will have to choose between killing a known entity or leaving him be with the potential of being investigated and outed to the whole thread.

We need to ask ourselves this: Do we trust that our medic will be able to play a strong enough meta game that it’ll keep the mafia in check? Because if we lynch BD then mafia have no barrier in between them and a civilian death this night phase.

If this were a more veteran stacked game I’d be willing to take that chance.

But again, this game is called Proving Ground for a reason. It’s a HUGE metagame the medic now has a very short time to learn and one fuck up could cost the Civs the entire game. Do you really want the Medic to feel the weight of the world on his…or her shoulders with such little experience?

There is another strategy but I’m going to keep it close to my chest until the start of Day 2. It’ll hopefully ease the meta-game for the medic a bit. However it does require the full co-operation of our civilian players so I’m not sure if it’s viable. However, if we get solid participation it’ll be a serious blow to the mafia’s plans.

For now we need to focus on our BD dilemma. With this role claim, are BD’s detractors still keen to lynch him?

At the moment I remain convinced that letting him live at least this day-phase will not hinder our efforts.

If you’re going to say that then offer up someone else. Or find a way to convince half the thread to suddenly be on board with No Lynching.

No lynch is not something I’ll advocate on Day 1.

Truthfully, my lynch choice has remained on Manx. His (potential) verbal slip up earlier is much more damning in my eyes than any perceived irregularities in Godots playstyle.

This indicates that he may have misunderstood his role.
