SRK Mini Mafia: Proving Grounds - Team Fortress 2 GAME BLUE - BLU Victory!

Cyntalan and Pertho have been very quiet. Pertho’s first post make me lean toward voting him, I mean even as a joke why bother starting this hat shit when he and everyone knows it could be the powder keg for a mindless bandwagon.

Lol while I appreciate the praise, I don’t think my literary ability is all too grande lol. but yall did hype about that last gasp for a bit so I understand why you’d think that. Also would you mind shedding some light on this joke from the RE game?

I have to wonder if we were selected for this game because how quiet we are, compared to the other thread we have barely spoken between us

I would hope that the choices were random even thought it seems that way lol

So we’ve got 1 vote in for Augustus. Reasoning seems solid enough. Gotta see what he says for himself.

Everybody has checked in but damn do we still have some inactive people.

I’ll probably still vote for the least active people if something substantial doesn’t come up

The problem is that with the few players that we have going with the regular route of lynching the less actives we can fuck it up more quickly than on a game with more players.
I feel that for this type of game with few players we can’t use that strategy.
The mafia would only need to post a little more than others to hide among us.

Of course it’s bad logic. But I have to start somewhere, and I’m more interested in the reactions. So it’s not a distraction. You turning this around and pinning suspicion on me is a distraction from my non-distraction from your hat distraction that probably isn’t a distraction but could still be a distraction.

But go ahead and vote for your best player. I dare you. If I get lynched, I’ll make sure you go down with me.

And by going down with me, I mean incriminating him in my last gasp. I know some of you (certainly Alpha) are going to take that the wrong way.

Lynching players that are likely to get booted automatically anyways has always been a waste of a lynch, I’m surprised and suspicious of Exodus for suggesting we do that. I’m still voting Pertho for now since he was the first to start this misdirection hat shit.

Eh I guess you have a point, we need to start somewhere though. We’re at less than a day to decide now with only 1 vote cast in the thread. I’m open to suggestions lol

I disagree that its a waste of a vote. Them simultaneously being here and not being here is a waste of space and gives names for the mafia to blend in with. Plus its Icege’s opening tactic for that reason specifically and I think hes p good so I was trying to open up with his play

Call me crazy, but I feel like the mafia would be more active in this game than not. They probably know that inactives get lynched and that’d be a stupid way to die. Not to mention the humiliation that would accompany it for being one of the worst mafia players ever. Just my opinion, but I don’t think they’d let that happen.

Also, running some hypothetical outcomes because no-lynching seems to always be an option day one:
No Lynch Plan

[details=Spoiler]Start game :9-2
Day 1: No Lynch : 9-2
Night 1: 8-2
Day 2: Accidentally lynch civ :7-2
Night 3: 6-2
Day 3: Accidentally lynch civ : 5-2
Night 3 : 4-2
Day 4 Accidentally lynch civ : 3-2
Night 4: 2-2 Mafia Wins[/details]

In this case, if we manage to hit a mafia on day 2, 3, or 4 instead of accidentally lynching a civ, we’ll statistically win (although statistics have been wrong before. Yeah I’m lookin at you PW. >.>).

Day 1 Lynch Plan:

[details=Spoiler]Start game :9-2
Day 1: Day 1: Accidentally lynch civ: 8-2
Night 1: 7-2
Day 2: Accidentally lynch civ :6-2
Night 3: 5-2
Day 3: Accidentally lynch civ :4-2
Night 3 : 3-2
Day 4 Accidentally lynch civ : 2-2 Mafia Wins[/details]

If we do lynch day one, we’ll have a much smaller margin of error.

Therefore, I vote No-Lynch. I know that this has often been cause for suspicion, but I trust my math more than I do any of you guys. No Lynch will statistically give us an advantage.

and by “we’ll statistically win,” I mean that there will only be one mafia left which is easier to figure out when the group is smaller, I’ve noticed.

Icege’s had a good idea but flubbed that shit up, although not completely his fault considering his team  Lynching less active players is a double edged sword because mafia can use it to get free kills, but at least it’s better than a no lynch which gives us no information. When people say they’re “open to suggestions” that can pave the way for mafia to start a bandwagon. I’m still voting Pertho unless I’m given a decent reason not to.

Also people have remember we need to keep medic alive so whoever the medic is don’t get smart and hint at who you are, don’t listen to anyone even, just read the posts see who votes for who and do what you think is right. Unlike the psychopath the medic isn’t usually responsible for killing the civs

Blue spy whoever you are make sure you don’t target whoever is likely to be lynched next that’s a waste of your power for the night. Instead target those who are least likely to be lynched so at least your vote doesn’t contribute towards a most likely civ player.

YOU DARE DISHONOR THE BLU TEAM?!

We’re the BLU team. We’re fighting the RED spies.

If I were as nitpicky as some of the other people who play this game are, you could be a valid lynch option for that. Watch yourself.

And why would you coach the spies in the first place?

I’ve changed my mind. You are a valid lynch option. Lynch orochizoolander

Forge, you didn’t mention the possibilities with Pyro/Detective to sniff out Mafia.

It does work out that he has more time to give up the maximum # of results if nobody dies by lynch today. And that’s all best case if he doesn’t die/doesn’t get last gasp blocked/doesn’t get any Mafia-only players that later died and were found civ-their checks wasted. Or the block by Medic.

Or several more possibilities.

Any reason you copied that strategy of pointing out Day 1 No Lynch, but left out Detective moves, which can be essential to win?

One more thing too (maybe 2 things!) but lets see if you catch it before I have to just lay it out for you.

And Zoo might have confused Blue Spy with Pyro/Detective… I guess?

I was only considering the worst case scenario (ie, us killing a civ everyday, the medic not managing to protect anyone at night, the detective not receiving useful information/hiding it to be safe/his last gasp is blocked) to decide which method would be best. I thought that’s how the most effective margin of error could be educed.

That makes sense.

but, you can No Lynch on a later day. It doesn’t have to be day 1.

So why day 1 no Lynch? Why not on another day? This just sets us back 2 phases. We will only have the night actions to go off of, Mafia will currently be winning the war. You want to give up all the voting record information and bandwagon stuff.

Saying No Lynch day 1 = @Cyntalan should come out of hiding and come down hard on you for that suggestion. He offered that plan up in a game he played as a Mafia, The Chief did it in a recent game, and he was quite upset nobody saw Chief as a Mafia: he turned up as one and survived really far past that day 1 suggestion, helping & ensuring a Mafia team win.

We lose a day of who bandwagons, who votes late, who votes for who and why. Effectively, really just setting us back and only letting us go from the Night Kill & Night actions. Really good way to hide Mafia…

-some of this is repeating. Reason being: I just wrote half of this ahead of time.
