Ok, so here’s how today was supposed to play out before I went and forgot my own brilliant plan.

Lynch OZ. His posts had the most information in them that I wanted to validate/disprove my theories. The vigi stepped in last night and sped that up a phase, throwing my plan off.

If OZ flipped mafia we learned a few things. 1. Mafia chose recruitment. 2. There was a link to JasonC. 3. Forge is likely innocent. 4. Pimp Willy and Bious both also look clean.

From Oz, I was going to lynch Jason, then from Jason to Soviet.

The EOD shenanigans yesterday prompted me to go back and re-read IWAL. His posts all reflected other mafia posts, but in a watered down format. Saying the same info in a different way. There was also little in the way of content.

Now we get into the really fun stuff. Duke was a suspect from day 1. His bowing out pushed him to the back burner as I couldn’t allow last game to blind me with regards to DG. However, his actions this game have confirmed him as a suspect in my mind.

Finally, the last person on my mafia grocery list is Chief. Now, he was someone I’ve been trying to handle with extreme care as I didn’t want to poke that sleeping bear. Unfortunately I’m an idiot so it’s all being laid out here.

EOD yesterday I asked Chief two questions: Who would he have lynched had he known AC was innocent, and what he thought of IWAL. His actions today then reinforced my belief that IWAL is mafia and that cheif is inextricably tied to him.
So here’s Syn’s golden pla:
We lynch IWAL today. Everything is hinging on this lynch for me and the rest of the game.
He flips mafia: we lynch DarkGeneral or Soviet. The day after, we kill the other person.
Then, if either/both of them are mafia JasonC is on the blocks. Chief has until this point to prove me wrong.
So you call me out with weird logic and then say “oops I meant the other guy, but now i have concrete evidence on you because you came in to defend yourself from my falsities.”
I cant buy this from someone who claims to be as good as you are. You had to have checked your post over and over to make sure you didnt mess up. Not only that you responded to me directly telling me i was wrong.
Well if IWAL flips Mafia then the game’s pretty much over. We just let Syn handle everything and I go take a vacation.
I won’t vote yet, but since Syn seems SO sure I might as well give him the opportunity to validate everything he’s done.
We’re all human and I put the wheels for this plan into motion after a 12 hour shift. My PM with MP is basically me being smug at discovering evidence and now it’s just me calling myself an idiot.
The problem IWinALot is that I type everything off the top of my head. I have spreadsheets, but all they contain is gameposts. I keep suspects, role reads etc all floating around up here and occasionally I get it mixed up.
@Saitsu I know you won’t like this position but I’ll ask you to trust me. Take as long as you need this phase to decide, but if it looks like it’s coming down to the wire I would ask you to throw the vote onto IWAL.
Also, go back and re-read just this phase. See the dynamics between the posters I’ve named as mafia. See the timing of their posts, and their approach to the situation. My slip-up gave them an opportunity to try and stop this wagon by discrediting me, that’s why I’ve preempted it and put all my cards on the table.

But then my reasoning kicked in, and it’s more like this: Think of Bious as a player. His playstyle, and how he handles confrontation in the thread.
Now, look back at who’s been attacking him and who he has been attacking. Notice any patterns?
Who has he tried to discredit vs who has tried to discredit him?
He’s also willing to compromise on lynch choices, something I don’t see mafia Bious doing.

I was waiting for you to bring up the sacrifice ability. You make this incredibly “thought” out plan and have already alluded to the fact that you will be killed tonight. When i come up civ you will say that oh you made a huge mistake and to not take your list seriously because you were ashamed at how wrong you are. As you have already stated, dying at night means we cant verify status which is why you are planning to go tonight.
I have no issue with your reasoning. I’m just one to be as cautious as possible.
However I will note one thing. A similar situation happened when OZ had just as much info and was very sure on a Mafia read (and it seemed sound too) only to completely whiff. I had to save him from a Lynch. I will not do the same for you. I expect more from you so the consequences of a fuck up will be greater.
I will admit one thing looking at my notes though. Most of our thought process aligns except with one big divergence. Hence why I’m interested to see how your plan turns out. To me, while you’ll probably be screwed if IWAL flips Civ, even if he flips Mafia this isn’t the important lynch to me.
Also your constant begging for people to take your side so it makes your death tonight even more convincing. I will say that it is a smart move to make me a target though. That wasnt an accidental name slip but a rather clever one, being new means i will not be able to get people on my side as you are able to. That seems to be what you are banking on. As you keep alluding to how you are in other mafia games.

I dont believe he accidently slipped my name for jasonC i believe it may have been intentional as it would be easier for people to vote for me especially after last day phase. However i must go now. I will do what i can to get on tomorrow for as long as i can.
I’m happy for people to distrust me as much as they want. Hell, I’ll happily be candidate #2 on every single one of the lynches I want to lead.
Civilians can decide for themselves. Like you say, I have more sway than you due to my reputation, but that’s not the be all and end all of these games. Facts will win civilians over, as will a compelling counter argument.
Believe what you will, but I honestly flubbed the order. OZ getting merced threw me off and I jumped to step two without double checking who step 2 was.
The reason I’m going to die tonight is pretty simple: Mafia have no incentive to keep me alive. My usefulness as a suspicious character gets eroded with every successful lynch. Your death and subsequent reveal will either vindicate my list, at least in the short-term or completely tank my reputation. Mafia won’t kill me if it’s the latter but when it’s the former they’ll silence me immediately.
Last gasps are very easily ignored on SRK, that’s why I have been trying to get all my suspects into the ideal lynch order before revealing everything.
If my list is right, or at least nearly right then that’s practically all of the mafia accounted for. I have a few suspects for the last mafia but for now I’m focusing solely on you.
@Civilians: Pay heed to this phase. Look at how silent my suspects were, or how they ‘reluctantly’ joined my lynch wagon on IWAL before my fuck up was revealed, then look at how fast and precisely those same suspects all appeared in the thread as a cohesive unit attempting to discredit me.

I cannot comprehend how you are defending him. I’ve gone through his posts once again and I’m more convinced now. This entire time he’s been casting suspicions based on feel alone. I play by feel a lot too, but I’d have more concrete stuff by now (which I believe I do). He hasn’t had anything of the sort. Go and look for yourself. He’s more content just asking people for their opinions on things and letting others come up with arguments so he can blindly follow. I’m not going to back down.

And @Augustus I’m not going to suck up to you again. I don’t think he’s guilty, but there is one spot left on my suspect list. He may very well fall into that category. I certainly won’t be prioritising his lynch over anyone else on my list.
