The best part is that everyone thought that Kaz was a civ since he reported that other player pm’ed him, when in reality it was him forgetting that the other player was a mafia player like him
I didnt really catch him defending me on anything.
I’m assuming you are referring to this post
Which I meant to ask why he brought me up because I didnt really understand that last line. I think he is referring to the interaction between me and Willy where I nearly shot myself in the head with the DQ gun. In that case, I dont see a reason to lynch either of us over that.
I do find it odd though, since nobody was even remotely talking about that scenario since before the game thread launched.
What i don’t remember well is what made us lose our vigi, i only remember that he made something dumb like revealing himself to a mafia player via the chat of a warcraft or something like that.
Also i dont recall how or why, but when soviet found out he freaked out specially because mafia taunted him with this
Making necesary to make a new death lounge to avoid us to find about the drama.
Which reminds me btw, i don’t get enough credit for starting the dead lounge tradition
I’ll update the summary when I get back from dinner.
Meanwhile -
Hecatom, I find your response interesting. I take it you have bad experiences with being active? Though I can’t really recall a time when you were active (which could just be a generalization error on my part)… Could you elaborate on what you believe the reasoning is behind active=dead?
My memory is suspect but I think the vigi accidentally revealed his role to mafia or something while playing diablo? I think he asked to be removed. The crazy part is we weren’t told it was the vigi until way late in to the game.
Then there was as AC write up that revealed what really happened.
FYI it was soviet who died and found out kaz was mafia after that fiasco and told highlulu (who was vigi) kaz was mafia in Diablo 3 chat leading to a terrible situation
I would have chosen option #1 for turnabout. But I think it’s a personal choice. I would have recruited someone who has the experience with reading the majority of players. So I think the turnabout choice would have been made depending on the type of mafia squad we are up against. If they are mostly newer players, they’d go choice 1. If it were vets looking to micromanage and keep secrets to as little people as possible, it’d be choice 2. I think after we lynch our first mafia, we’d have a better idea of which choice they went with.
So I do somewhat agree with Bious’ earlier statement that it’d be a waste of time to hunt for the recruit this phase (too many variables, etc.), but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t keep it in mind when looking through everyone’s posts in these early phases. I have a couple of personal preferences for whom I would recruit, so I’ll be keeping a close eye on their posts (or lack thereof).
For OZ, Sovi3t, whoever - a better recap of the last game:
D’Nyc3, Icege, DarkGeneral were the original 3 mafia.
D’Nyc3 gets lynched primarily off a mafia slip (what Duke is referring to) on Day 3 after wallflowering early on.
Icege wallflowers hard (legit inactivity though) and it takes 3 days of effort by civs to lynch him finally on Day 5.
DarkGeneral wallflowers even harder (going dark for 5 days at a time and using an alt in mafia PM) and leads mafia to victory. The civs alive do not notice his absent voting/posting pattern until the game is over.
The Co-Jones wallflowers, survives to the end, and gets recruited as a mafia the night phase before the win.
After you died, somehow I skated by as mafia.
So - wallflower power utterly destroyed civs.
ForgeDigger - you left out the Fuzz “joke” votes in your summary.
And since Aidebit checked in last…I’m inclined to vote him unless something else interesting arises before deadline. @Aidebit
