Some people have too much pull in the thread and when discussion starts, the minimal posters fall silent. It’s healthy to let those who normally won’t talk get an opportunity to speak up.
You all should know that I’m reading the thread regardless of what I post.
The day I say “Sorry guys, let me catch up first” you can lynch me without hesitation.
Well, my situation is the same as yours. People have been popping into the thread, slinging baseless accusations then disappearing and yet, my lynch is still gaining traction.
DukeC is the only person whose made a solid argument against myself. Admittedly it’s wrong but it’s still better than anyone else has come up with.
I’ve been one of the more active posters this game, which is surprising considering how busy I am.

In my opinion Syn, there’s no benefit in surviving as role-less civs.
By the way @DG, I have read it. I’m not completely up to date though.
So Chief, I call you out on being hella quiet compared to your previous game experience.
You say you’re watching for those who might want to lynch you or jump on a wagon, but you’re playing almost exactly like you were when you were mafia.
Stay quiet behind the bushes, hear someone call you out and then you go on a posting spree to appear clean.
I’m a keep an eye on you.

Speaking of D’Nyc3 something that forge posted during day 1 when D’Nyc3 checked in caught my interest again.
Thoughts on this? Could he have posted in either the mafia pm or one of the lover ones and forgot to make a post in here?
Well, your first fail is using past game info to call someone dirty. I NEED you to keep an eye on me. I NEED that. I’m not trying to appear clean. Believe me. One of the best ways to avoid being killed by mafia is to be lynchable. All you NEED to know is that I’m a threat to mafia. The longer I live the more info I gain for my inevitable last gasp. Seeing that only roled civs have died thus far, mafia must feel that I’m not a threat to them. That’s fine with me. I can’t remember the last time you were right on a read but when you kill me be sure to have a good excuse because that will be the nail in your coffin.
Food for thought. How many times has my death immediately resulted in a mafia’s lynching the very next phase TCJ? Look it up.

Oddly I would have thought Chief was lower in the post count, but he’s in the top half of the game. So why does it feel like he hasn’t been posting?

Anyway, it likely has to do with reaching. When a window to cast suspicions opens, you’d be amazed who comes out of nowhere.

I like to run it after each night phase, and instead of doing it labor day night and logging into work, I waited until I was on regular work hours to run it
Let me set this straight.
Mafia usually does not push my lynch. They don’t don’t want or need the backlash. They will look for the opportune time time kill me.
That said, I think it’s unlikely that TCJ is dirty.
I’m still watching Syn and RTime. The mafia chat could’ve said:
Syn - Chief’s name us ringing bells, we might be able to lynch him.
RTime - I’m down with that (Goes back to flowing)
TCJ - I’ll help as well.
Then RTime with the worst timing ever, posts that he locked in for Kujo.
Syn sees the screw up and has to interject.
TCJ has to backdash after I ask for his rebuttal.
…as that scenario plays in my head, mafia would have to stupid to try that in that sequence.
So I’m turning a blind eye to the 3 names I dropped with the exception of Synonym. He’s the only one who only slightly pushed suspicion on me and that’s exactly what I would expect mafia to do when they don’t want to kill me.
Mafia will shy away from conflict. They shy away from attention. They shy away from making enemies. Anything that will bring attention to them is bad.
The 3 names I dropped could very well be mafia based solely on the above but that would be crazy… and we’re still looking for 2 more. (This is a trap, mafia, don’t respond to this).
Co-Jones can’t be Mafia because he was investigated though. Someone’s not paying attention~

Not to be that guy but they can become vigis if the human lover is killed by the mafia @“The Chief”. I assume that it’s a civ vigi and not a serial killer.

Ok, I’ll check to see where TCJ counterclaimed dormant lover (or even claimed roless civ for that matter). If you’re going to entertain the idea that TCJ could become vigi, Augustus is suspect.
Being that guy that adds confusion just to be technically correct doesn’t help us.
