SRK MAFIA XVII - ATTACK ON TITAN:End of Day 8 - The Grim Reminder (Civilians lose!)

Yeah after thinking about it a little more, I see your point, mafia would most likely not trade 1 of their own to take out one of our UC’s at this point, especially since with only 3 mafia members so far it’s already unlikely enough that we’ll find one early and we have no leads so far so the sacrifice a mafia to look innocent is pretty moot right now.

The guy who was rooting for Walt in Breaking Bad and thought he never did anything that mean to anyone else :coffee:

You don’t want to know what my gut says. Not a subtle threat, it just usually isn’t very accurate. I do have a few suspicions, but they’re admittedly circumstantial. I’ll try to organize my thoughts and list them up later this night.

Also, since this day phase apparently has to completely finish the subject of lynching, we can’t avoid that aside from a No Lynch. But I’d rather get closure on someone’s allegiance first, so long as they’re suspicious.

Gonna be getting off for the night here in about 20 minutes or so, anything we should look into before then? I have a couple of suspicions now, but…they’re not really well-rooted in anything. :stuck_out_tongue:

If your gut says me that’s fine. Wrong but fine.

The 3 I’d most like to lynch on gut are

Syn
Forge
DG

Though oz and recession are trying their damnest to get on that list

ops.

I think that killing TGG either happened because mafia were role hunting or didn’t want to type his name. I also think that the same arguments about expeditions from yesterday remain today, so I think we should just keep lynching.

Gonna read through the rest of the posts now.

I DEFENDED YOU, YOU UNGRATEFUL AUSSIE SCUM.

Lynch Synonym

-messing up my edits-

Let’s hear 'em dude.

You saw nothing.

It will be our secret

@RadicalFuzz‌ I think we’ll get the maximum amount of information from lynching either CK or BK what do you think?

Lynching either of them would give us a good amount of information, true. I want to make sure that we’re lynching them for that reason though, and not just because they were on the block yesterday and people don’t want to think. Who else would you suggest aside from those two?

wtf is going on…

Damn Syn, you’re in trouble. You’re mere inches from getting lynched now that Augustus has voted for you. You should just come clean and admit defeat before you go through the public humiliation that is Augustus pursuing his target, much like how a man pursues a remote in the couch cushions.

@Synonym Auggie to me seems to be playing around a bit more and is more reserved on his accusations compared to previous games. It’s like he’s being a bit more careful.

Limp Willy is kinda out of character

Day 2 Info Dump

-Still current theory that Combo_Knight was implied as the leading lynch vote yesterday for all intents and purposes.
-Majority continues to believe TGG was killed as a role hunt. Personal opinion [Probability of Mafia successfully identifying TGG as a role: Low. Probability of Mafia successfully identifying TGG as Mikasa: Minimal]. Civilians have a habit of over-estimating Mafia during game. Theory: TGG was night killed for different reason.
-People either uncomfortable with discussing game mechanics or only a few of us understand how they work.
-Potential theory: Augustus or Combo_Knight is the Human Lover attempting to get lynched for the sake of their Mafia-preferenced Lover.

orochizoolander:

-First paragraph completely about actions Mafia should take, not from Civilian POV. Done previously on Day 1 as well.
-At least 2 attempts trying to get RadicalFuzz to name/hint Levi and Eren.
-Against killing Dormants.
-No reaction to post about being ignored. Possible desired outcome for OZ.

Moot point. Issue already addressed.

Flaws:
-More important/prevalent targets for Mafia to frame than Orochizoolander.
-Too early in the game to focus on one Civilian to push for lynching via framing.
-First kills are used to get rid of stronger and louder players, not framing purposes.

Alternate theory: orochizoolander killed TGG to make it appear as though he was framed. More likely scenario than Mafia killing TGG to frame OZ.

Breadcrumbs left during Day 1:

Spoiler

orochizoolander personal profile: Plays team games as a solo. Likely to blame his failures on teammates. If Mafia theory is true, two probable results:

  1. orochizoolander is the Female Titan and has the ability to override teammate decisions for his own purposes.
  2. orochizoolander deemed “most experienced” in group and left to make important decisions. Requires 2 inexperienced teammates.

Results match up with Night 1 actions, supporting alternate theory.

Lynch: orochizoolander

Not locked in.

Here’s what I’m thinking.

A lot of players are “out of character” as SAD put it. At least half a dozen enough to concern me. A lot of it has to do with the addition of Dormants and the Expedition phase, variables that nobody has played with before, but it still unnerves me and makes me hesitate on my reads.

Speaking of reads I have very few that I’m confident in at the moment, and most warrant only a close eye, no action yet. For example, I’m confident that if Augustus is Mafia killing TGG was his call and his alone. There’s no way any of us would let him do that because it’s something he would legitimately do given the opportunity. That means that if he’s Mafia then the other Mafia allowed him to make that decision, possibly because they lacked the experience and/or presence necessary to sway him.

Activity has been odd this game. Most major contributors aren’t necessarily posting very much, but most of their posts contain a lot of insight. On the flip side it’s fairly easy to see who’s posting often to make it look like they’re contributing information while they aren’t being particularly helpful. Almost backwards of how it usually is. Weird.

Collectively, we’ve been very lynch shy so far. We tied a lynch at 4 votes yesterday. It’s extremely irritating, but my unique perspective accounts for a lot of that so maybe it’s not as bad as I think it is. Lynch votes, or a lack thereof, are a significant source of information. It can’t possibly be all Mafia behavior, but the lack of conviction ends up being harmful to civs.

Alpha I think you have a good case there. His weird logic about going on expeditions, which comes immediately after one of our Aces dies, doesn’t make much sense. Not using our roles, that sounds believable if not something I still disagree with. Going on an Expedition with only one Ace being less harmful than playing the normal Day/Night Mafia game, not so much so. And he clearly knew that Mikasa was dead when he made that post because he crossed out something about having two Aces to protect our groups with in the first paragraph. Finally, this in particular feels very forced to me, as if OZ is too convinced that he was attempted to be framed by the Mafia. If he was civ he wouldn’t know but would guess, but this sounds like he knows the truth either way:

It’s a very interesting situation. We have quite a few “good” lynch candidates but none of them are outstandingly dirty compared to the others. If I had to pick right now I’d say Blindknagg or OZ. I feel that most of the people who voted for Combo had worse reasoning than most of the people who voted for Blindknagg, including Exodus’ fairly “out of left field” vote. And Alpha’s preceding post outlines a lot of reasons that OZ looks dirty. However, OZ will be OZ, so a certain amount of that is expected. What I’m more interested in at the moment is how Pimp sees OZ’s current play as squeaky clean, I’m getting a very different conclusion.

On that note do you have a response to Alpha’s accusations OZ?

Edit: I’m going to bed now so I won’t be around to respond for a while. Deadline is in about 21 hours though, so we still have some time but we need to get more coordinated than yesterday, that was just pathetic.
