No.
I wonder if CK and Augustus are the lover pair? There’s really no reason he should object the lynch unless he knows something we dont. Especially since he hasnt stated WHY we should change the vote.
Perhaps Augustus is the dormant lover, and killing CK will make him vigi and possibly mafia…interesting.
The yomi of killing a person who has been spouting a bunch of shitty ideas really hasnt been used historically on srk irc. Not saying it couldn’t be done but it isn’t as common as you would think. As mafia why kill a loudmouth that is way off base when you could kill a threat or role hunt? My two cents.
Im leaning toward bk currently. Someone (ac?)brought him up as being really agreeable without giving reasons as to why he agreed then he immediately jumped on the ‘unicorn’ thing. I only kind of remember bk being doing the ‘oh yeah thats a good idea for no reason’ thing. Granted CK really could have fucked up as mafia but like fuzz says lets not jump on a day 1 vote over a single silly thing
Mafia have killed off base on purpose, usually in midgame. Early game is establishing the players they want to survive and late game is eliminating any remaining roles. That’s irrelevant until the Mafia actually kill though.
Dark General what’s your take on all of this? I know you’re IRL busy so I’m not gonna use “he didn’t answer within the hour clearly mafia” thing, no worries
Just want to point out that Dnyce just posted in the Naruto thread, but has yet to say shit here.
Damn monday? Too much going on that day…MNF, RAW, Softcore Pr0n on Cinemax :bluu:
Have we @d him yet? I didn’t know the game had started for nearly a day, and that was with Hecatom PMing me my role
I think somebody did before. It might be a good idea to do it again. I ain’t doing it though because I’m on mobile at the moment and I ain’t spelling that shit
Just got out of a presentation I did for my bosses boss, gonna be here for the rest of the work day.
Btw TGG I would change Cynt’s “Said nothing of value”. I currently have him as a fairly strong civ lean because I don’t believe that a mafia would bring up the idea of saving all of the pages in order to prevent edit bombs. That is a hugely powerful strategy for them, and having a member out it when no one had mentioned anything like it in the thread seems super -EV for the mafia team.
Ofc it could be yomi, but it seems like too much of a risk for too little of a reward.
Oh yeah I forgot about Cynt bringing that up. There have been a few times already where I added something to the table and didnt save it. So it probably got lost in one of those version. Adding it now though as “Suggests archiving posts”
There are 22 other players, Mafia notwithstanding. The chances of another bringing it up are pretty high, and it would only be a one time tactic at best. It’s not as bad a thing as you make it out to be. In fact, from a civilian point of view I might keep that strategy a secret to counteract any attempted Mafia interference and see what they bother editing out. That way we could get both the original and new posts.
Don’t be so quick to trust Cynthia Skizzz. Edit: Supposed to be Cynt but that’s funny so I’m keeping it
Also I don’t think that you can @ people with characters in their names, it’s the same problem as spaces.
@D’nyc3
I’m not sure if I want to lynch CK today. I agree that what he did was super awful, however, railroading him is an easy way to get a potential mislynch as well as very little information from discussions.
I’m also slightly worried now that my lover pair hypothesis might be true.
Would it be out of character for CK to get himself killed just to throw a monkey wrench in the system and turn the dormant lover into a vigi and potential mafia? I dont know him well enough to deduct whether or not he is somebody that would just do that for fun.
Also, if not CK, then who? I’m sure somebody has locked in a vote by now and it would be better to agree upon a conclusion, instead of hoping that a random 1 vote doesnt knock somebody important. Or does there need to be a certain number of votes before somebody is lynched?

I see where you are coming from with a civ going either way on revealing or not, but seeing as he revealed it the debate comes down to is it more likely that a civ would say it to the thread or if a mafia would say it to the thread. I see civ doing this >% than mafia. If you are mafia you just don’t reveal and freeroll a chance that no one else figures it out.
Either way it is not like I am pronouncing him lock clear from it, but I feel like of all the mechanics talk so far, his contribution was the most useful to the town.
The one with the majority of the votes get’s lynched @XthAtGAm3RGuYX . Aug being “protective” of CK could just be Aug being Aug but I wouldn’t be surpriced if there could be something more to it.

I know that C_K was in a Mafia/Civ lover pairing in the Boybands Game, and he played it reeeeeeallly weird (or maybe his partner did. Either way I remember something odd happening there). So I don’t think it’s out of his range to do.
In regards to the voting, one random offwagon vote on day one tends not to mean a lot. At the end of the day the person with the most votes gets lynched, and they usually end up with like 10+ votes on them (on day 1).

So let’s say only 4 lynch votes were locked, and all the votes are for a different person equating to 1 person per vote. What happens then since it is a tie? The person who was voted first gets lynched? Also can somebody be killed with 1 vote?
Yeah BK I usually just ignore Augustus for the first few days, or at least anything he says that isn’t actual discussion. That could be just me not being able to adapt to his “forum voice” very well though.
Technically one vote could lynch someone, but there are often penalties for missing votes like getting kicked if you miss two in a row.

It’s usually a tie which means that no one gets lynched. Someone could theoretically get lynched with only one vote if everyone else does not submit a vote. Voting for a No Lynch results in no one getting lynched too obviously.

But “no vote” is a valid option. I’m just worried that some people take a stab in the dark while others dont vote due to lack of confidence, and then we just lose somebody because “fuck it I wanted to vote”.
We’re not gonna have just one or two votes on someone kill them. No lynching is usually seen as more suspicious than voting for someone.
And @Hecatom do the votes kill nobody or kill all the candidates? I know it’s usually none but I just want to make sure.
