Day -1: The Mix Up
Shadow Ace was sitting on his couch watching the Nintendo Direct stream, hoping against all hope that his favorite character would get into Smash 4. Unfortunately, Ridley wasn’t announced. To make matters worse he hadn’t been brought back for the sequel, not even as an assist trophy.
“Man, screw Nintendo. Sonic’s in every single crossover but the only gigs I get are the weird fanfics. Fuck my life”
As he lay there in his own self-loathing, the doorbell to his apartment rang. Upon answering the door he saw an envelope on his doorstep. Opening it, he found an invitation to something called “SRK Mafia XV”. Apparently there’d been a mix up and it had got delivered to his house by mistake instead of some “Manx”. Shadow Ace closed the door and threw the letter in the trash. Sitting back down on his couch he decided what he would do about Smash 4.
“Chaos Control!”
Time froze. Shadow Ace got up from his couch, walked over to the fridge, and got a cold beer before returning to his seat. He snapped his fingers, making time flow normally again, pleased that he didn’t miss any of the stream, before sitting down at his favorite Internet forum to discuss the merits of a fight between Mario and a ninja frog.
