SRK Mafia XV - Dragon Ball Z Signup Thread

*Sounds good to me.

Who have signed up for interviews so far? I know Pimp Dubya is up for being interviewed. *

Well, I can’t say because I’d tip my hand at who’s in the middle of the interview right now, so I’ll let you know once that’s finished.

Game on!

Vynce tell me you’re not mafia. I’ll believe you.

^ Seconded. That also applies to my bro Sexodus.

Missing Person: Alright, this is Missing Person, back with the SRK Mafia XV Pre-game interview. Today, I’m here with the man known for cursing being mafia…Bious! So Bious, right now, you’re known for drawing mafia more consistently than should be. How do you think that affects your survival rate in game?

Bious: Well MP, last game is a nice example of that actually. I just came off of a double-mafia selection yet again and managed to survive as a civ (before some mean lady killed me.) I believe my survival rate depends on what people perceive as my tells, which I got sloppy with the last time I was mafia. Twice.

Missing Person: Indeed. So you’re pretty much king of getting roleless mafia. Is it a source of contention for you or a badge of honor?

Bious: Well I did get the enforcer role that one time, but yes usually I get roleless. I wouldn’t call it a badge of honor specifically… More like bad luck? TBH I’ve always wanted the Vigi role. I mean Vynce got that before I did.

Missing Person: So hypothetically, if you had to be mafia, would you rather have a power role than to have the supporting role in the PM?

Bious: When you’re Mafia, you’re mafia really. You gotta work as a team anyway, so having a role as mafia seems less special as having a role as a civ. Unless you’re a spy or something.

Missing Person: Well, and then you’re just Ben Perkins, and we’ll leave it at that.

Bious: Hah… Oh poor Ben.

Missing Person: So touching back on what you said earlier, what is the appeal to you of playing the vigilante role personally?

Bious: Power. Simply power.

Missing Person: Less than trusting your reads to kill off mafia, just the power?

Bious: Having the power to decide people’s fates without having to appeal to the rest of the players is extremely useful. Well a little bit of both really. Sometimes in Mafia people just don’t want to follow you based on your feelings early on. The Vigi role is essentially a fix for that; you trust your own reads and have the power to “check” them. That and murder is fun.

I believe that’s why some hate the Vigi role really; too much power over life and death.

Missing Person: This is true. I’ve always felt like I’ve been hindered often times in my reads by the caliber of the civs, and that I’d kill to be able to off players myself. …no pun intended.

Bious: Yep, like last game with Alpha and I.

Missing Person: So, out of the rulesets we’ve used for vigilante, are you in the camp that prefers stocks or unlimited stocks?

Bious: Depends on the game really. A Vigi can be just as harmful to Civs as to Mafia (Thanks @Hecatom!) I think it really depends on the strength of the Civs vs the strength of the Mafia.

Weak Mafia= Stocks
Strong Mafia, Many Civs= No Stocks

Usually Vigi’s with stocks sit on them and are pretty accurate though…

Missing Person: Awesome. We’ve also had some divergence in how stock recursion happens. Like we’ve had instances where they recur when the mafia die, and in Icege’s game, we also had them where stocks recur when certain power roles on the civilian side die. Which do you think is better?

Bious: When Power roles die, in my opinion. Keeping a bullet if you hit Mafia is nice, but I think the vengeance factor plays better for both sides. Civs lose a role and get to kill at night, and the Mafia hits a role and gets to worry about being hit that night.

Missing Person: Awesome. Touching back on your comments on Hecatom, on the obverse side of that. We’ve had some solid play from vigilantes in the past. In my time here, we’ve had SoVi3t, Azure, Sumazndude, and also Blindknagg. Which one do you think handled the role best, and why?

Bious: Hmm… It’s a tie between @SoVi3t and @Sumazndude. Soviet played his role perfectly by that night 1 kill for camouflage, and SAD went waaaaay off the radar. I’d have to give it to Soviet though.

If it came down to it, that is.

@Vynce played the Vigi role well last game though, now that I think about it. Besides killing you.

Missing Person: And I’m still salty about that one.

Bious: As I am with him in general.

Missing Person: Now for a look back on memory lane. Two of the best plays you’ve committed in SRK Mafia. Let’s look through the highlight reel, and see what you were thinking at the time.

SRK Mafia VI–You had a choice on who to investigate, and you chose Doofenshmirtz, who happened to be forging kaz during that night phase, which coincidentally happened to be the night kaz died. Why Doof?

Bious: I believe that was because he tried to throw suspicion on me out of nowhere earlier that day. It was either him or Oerba, and I kinda lucked out on my choice. After I got my results I role claimed, lynched him, and the rest is history.

Missing Person: Right, because if I remember correctly, all that was left after Doof was Cult Leader, correct?

Bious: Pretty much, and that was Cyntalan. Unfortunately, he slipped under my radar even though I suspected him in the beginning and killed me the last night phase. A fact I haven’t forgotten, as it happened again last game.

Missing Person: Now, for yet another pimp play.

SRK Mafia X–You had just entered the game via DQ and had the ability to not only stall your death, but a one time use to see what every role did during the night, ultimately leading to Alpha’s death. Not a role you’d particularly have to use night 1, but you had presence of mind to do so. How did you decide that was exactly what was necessary?

Bious: Ah, that was due mostly to DarkGeneral. I thought he was Mafia and trying to either sniff out my role or get me lynched the following day due to all his questions… I was already on the fence about using my power that night, but he was kind of the deciding factor as I felt I was going to be killed that night. Thanks to him that is. So I used it, got killed and saved by Satan, and used my results to lynch AlphaCommando.

Missing Person: The irony being that he was in fact civ and his prompting managed to get the valedictorian.

Bious: Pretty much. Then RF murdered him. Thanks to Hecatom not reading last gasps.

Missing Person: So believe it or not, you are the only player that has 10 or more games played that’s also currently over a 50% win rate. Are you afriad that makes you a bigger target or a bigger asset?

Bious: Huh. I thought I was under on that.

Missing Person: Right now I’ve got you clocked as 6-5.

Bious: Geez, those Mafia losses hurt.

Missing Person: I’ve got to get ready for three straight classes, so I’m going to have to wrap this up. If you can, give me a few shoutouts and salty callouts to wrap this up.

Bious: No problem, thanks for having me. But to wrap it up, I know who usually watches for me and who usually ignores me. So I guess I’m a higher priority to some than others.

And I would like to give Shoutouts to God, Puff Daddy, Snoop Doggy Dogg. Just kidding. Shoutouts to PW for running that western game that got me interested in Mafia in the first place, you for rolling me as Mafia in your. first (and oddly second) game and putting me on the winning team. Also Shoutouts to Vynce, Manx, Oerba, Chief, and Forgedigger for that SP game. Probably my best Mafia moment and my best played game.

Giant salty fuck you’s to Vynce, RadicalFuzz, Missing Person, AlphaCommando, Synonym, Orichizoolander, Vynce, Hecatom, Forgedigger, SSRagna, Sikwidit, Doof, Combo Knight, SWBeta, Cyntalan, Vynce, Blindkagge or whatever, the RNG Goddess, SAD, Bundle of Sticks, Ben Perkins, Manx, Oerba, and finally… Jesse Pinkerman.

My fucking Namekian isn’t even cool. Remember when those 3 guys came out like they were going to fuck some shit up, then got their asses handed to them?

Not even that cool.

I’m
Argh.
Standard
Marvel

Again.

Add me to the LL

Given your win % we should call it the Pimp Willy Lounge B).

It’s crazy, though; you’re an exceptional player. It’s like you’re BFFs with that character from the Flintstones that’s always breaking shit.

I wish. it would make getting laid a hell of a lot easier

Whenever I see your name LGP I think of Lime Popsicle and it makes me happy.

[details=Spoiler]http://youtu.be/mHz9dyfYLRQ[/details]I fucking love BillyMC and LimePopsicle.

I am also vanilla namekian, but at least I have a hat in my avatar.

*Hey @MP if you have the transcript to my interview with you I’d very much appreciate you sending me a copy after the game is done. I’m going to file away the interviews and use them as references for future use. *

Oh dear lord that’s hilarious.

Thanks for waiting until after the game’s over, I appreciate it.

I hopefully do. I should be able to find it.

If you liked that I would highly suggest anything retsuprae does with BillyMC. They don’t like doing repeats but Billy is so obscenely and genuinely happy that they like watching his videos. They have a playlist of Billy getting his ass stomped at Mario the Lost Levels and they start off tearing him apart because of how awful he is and they turn around and start rooting for him. Its glorious.

IIRC, all roleless Namekians are the same.

Some random guy named Moori. Dafuq.

He’s the leader of the Namekians! I fucking googled for nothing.

Now that I’ve done the interview with Bious, which was pretty darn good, here are the people that are signed up:

The Co-Jones
RadicalFuzz
AlphaCommando
Aidebit
Pimp Willy
Vynce

And I guess I’ll throw myself in there. RF is next because he was supposed to be the interview for 15 when it was going to be my SFxT themed game, but when he became GM I pushed it back. Beyond that, I don’t know who will be next.

So basically, if I somehow roll myself for SRK Mafia XVII, you’ll be the interviewer, @DarkGeneral.

Also, anyone who wants to be added to that list, please click “Agree” for this post.

Moori’s the dude who replaced the Grand Elder when he died at the end of the Frieza Saga. Leader of a village that Freezypop destroyed for a Dragon Ball.

I’ve remembered Lime’s intro music by heart I’ve watched the Retsupurae that many times. His sign-off is accurate for Mafia too.

“It’s fun to stay alive!”

It’s lime lime time, lime lime time. Billy MC and lime lime time…
