May I have that Missing Person paint picture? It must be my new AV. Missing Person knows it was by far the funniest thing that has happened on SRK since the STA saga. Well, with the exception of people paying for that one person who was taking pictures to go to EVO.
Don’t worry, the general consensus on what to do on D1 is “Just lynch someone unimportant.” D1 and D2 mostly have civ lynches, unless AC is mafia, in which case he gets lynched on day two.
On that note, there’s something that intrigues me about Pie’s plan on page one.

Either Pie never noticed that it assumed that, or he’s trying to get us to ignore it. Case in point, he even puts a TL:DR section, and chooses a fairly long piece with a monotonous background. Out of all the players right now, only Pie really draws my suspicion.

He could be assuming that regardless of night kills we proceed as planned. Since the likelihood for town winning is fairly high unless the town-mafia ratio can’t compliment the plan. Which we don’t know for certain.
Yeah, but as Bious pointed out, mafia could just go through the bottom names and if they get even one of their players into the bottom three, they win. We can’t change the order either, because the plan will makes us prime lynch targets if we do. Also, he forgot to assume the worst. Assume that there’s a fool/carpenter for the civs, assume that there’s a Yakuza-esque role, because we don’t know everything about the game’s mechanics.
If this was a standard game with all the cards laid out on the table, I’d let this fly, but this game’s mechanics in particular are shrouded in mystery, and I don’t think Pie would miss that.

This is the worst alibi I’ve ever read. Not least plausible, per se, just awful.
Morning all. Looks like there’s been enough discussion that I can close the book on “my plan.” I think it’s a shitty plan and knew so when I posted. The point was to get people talking. The reasons have already been stated, but the reason I put forth initially about why it might be good is actually the reason it’s awful. As others point out, we don’t know anything about numbers, and don’t know everything about roles. And of course, it’s 100% no fun, even if it might work.
One thing I find interesting is that people are readily agreeing with Aidebit’s statement that the plan doesn’t include mafia night kills. For the record, as of this post, BK and HAX marked it insightful, and BM agreed with it. If you actually read the whole post, and the subsequent comments, it does cover it all. A good way to make it look like you’ve mulled things over… When you really haven’t.
I’ll be taking another look at people’s reactions to the plan to make an informed lynch choice today. It’s certainly a better idea than lynching RF because some people decided it was a good idea before the game started.
I’m still not happy with that.

Just wanted to chip in that I marked Aid’s post as insightful in regards to not all the roles being known and the name order. I missed Aid’s previous post where he noted that the plan relied on there being no night kills and I’ll admit that I skimmed through the page containing the plan so I probably missed it in there too.
