If SAD comes back civ, Bious, AC, ForgeDigger, OZ and DukeC are all mafia.
If AC is mafia, Bious, Pie and SoVi3t look clean.
If DukeC is mafia, Synonym and others look amazing.
Its not that simple of course, but that’s where my thoughts would carry me.
Also OZ has been fair-weathering a lot. I expected more from you considering how well you’ve played these last few games; now you’re just agreeing with everyone.
I’m agreeing with AC so how does one player equate to everyone? Also like I said in a previoust post, I had made the conscious decision before this game started to be less active this time and to be more careful in my accusations, I had good reads last game which I’m proud of, but I also took some big risks which in the long run are a losing strategy. And when someone makes sense hell yes I will “fair weather”. If other people throw baseless accusations toward me I’m going to rely on the intelligence of the players to think for themselves and see the irrationality of players like sovi3t without me having to spend 100 posts repeating it over and over till I’m blue in the face.
Trying to keep with this thread can be hard some times.
As for Lynching AC
I can totally see why.
He tends to be a very talkative player who likes to give insight, which on this game so far it has not been really the case. His posts lack the quality that he usually has when playing as a civ.
To be fair though, that post on 3rdStrikeLove was very interesting. @3rdStrikeLove, do you have a rebuttal?
It’s not us calling it gambler’s fallacy, it’s literally gambler’s fallacy. And why isn’t SAD on your suspicion list if you think one of the Texas crew is Mafia?
Alpha, you’re perfectly aware of why I asked that question. Or at least, you should be.
I find it intriguing that you’re saying a plan is too risky the game after you literally role-claimed Mafia.
I agree with you, didn’t intend to draw attention or credence away from your conclusion, just pointing out that you read the writeup more closely than the role card.
Also, Coco, that’s some serious funk right there. Not the role claim itself, but you lying about part of it. You only get to kaboom if your killer is Mafia, in other words you’re a 1-1 trade that the Mafia has no knowledge of? There’s no reason for kaz to put that role in a game he wanted to be less civ-powerful.
How does SAD being civ make me look like mafia? My only reason for suspecting him is that a confirmed civ suspects him and he happened to vote for the civ that suspected him which to anyone with a brain makes him a more attractive target than most of the players here given how little we have to go on so far. If I were more gung ho about killing SAD you would have a point.
Also if DukeC is mafia then MP would look amazing to you?
I was waiting to see if anyone else would bring up the plan so that I could tell them how flawed it was, but I may as well elaborate.
Have Cher role-claim and tell everyone Sonny’s investigation results.
Pros:
-We get a confirmation for one day
Cons:
-Quincy is forced to protect Cher the entire time, losing us the mix-up we have of Quincy’s protection in the first place
-The confirmed role lives until the end of the day, at which point, Mafia kills them with full knowledge that Quincy is protecting Cher
-If we lose Quincy, we lose Cher
-We don’t get a bundle of confirmations when Sonny dies (which would tie up Mafia kills for a couple of days)
-Cher may accidentally confirm Quincy, leading to his death that night
At first it was just ‘better not reveal this plan in case there’s a role that counters it’, but after further reflection, the consequences outweighed the benefits. Feel free to elaborate on this tactic to see if there are any more pros and cons/see if there’s a way to minimise the cons, but without knowing any more roles, the plan is too risky.
