My vote is between PW and AC. AC to avoid the possibility of him being blocked of his last gasp, thus if he was civ, we’d lose the knowledge of who [Pimp Willy] was, or else he was mafia. PW mostly due to my own reads on him, having been with him on the mafia side, but also due to The Chief. If I wanted to lynch between the two without worry, I’d lynch PW. I don’t know if I wanna risk a LG block on AC if he happens to be civ, though.

Oh I read it, and like you I’m leaning towards AC being civ… but that’s largely the reason I’d rather have control over his death. At least, providing the assumption is right and AC did get the visit. I don’t recall seeing AC confirm this, but perhaps I just missed it.

The risk isn’t in to lynch or not to lynch, it’s to whether we believe mafia took the LG block. It’s a tougher call than you make it out to be. I’ll be shocked if AC lives through the night if he isn’t lynched today. Between the vigi (who should try to take the shot on him before mafia gets the kill+LG Block if he’s civ) and mafia, the only way he should survive the night is if he’s mafia and vigi doesn’t do the right thing.

PW, obviously I’m not asking everyone to lynch you blindly and I’ll happily listen to any defence that you mount. Just know that, to me, you have been appearing more and more suspicious. Decrying the credibility of Chief’s last gasp after he suspects you as mafia, coupled with your actions earlier in the game make me suspicious.

Bious is completely off the radar this game and it’s making me concerned. This is a player that normally likes to be the center of attention, so why is he so reserved?

OZ, as to why I made a “drive-by” attack on you, it’s because you’ve been ringing bells left and right. You went from being chummy with me to accusing me of mafia, only to read that I was confirmed and vacillate back to being on team “Sexodus” (@Exodus. we now have a team name).

For now, Lynch Pimp Willy.

I think I explained myself as to why I feel off, no need to get into that again. Chief’s last gasp feels off to me, and I know it feels off to you. You have the luxury of coming out confirmed civ. His last gasp explicitly says 1) AC is mafia and 2) Lynch AC today, even if he’s not mafia we need to do it. Yet you brush this aside and only seem to focus on the “Lynch Pimp Willy” part. It seems like if you’re going to say we should follow Chiefs last gasp, then that is what we should do. Sort out the AC business first. Unless you have the name of <PW> you are awfully sure we don’t need to lynch AC to get it, which really stuns me. If you do have the name of <PW> why aren’t we lynching him now? Because AC has it and we need it.

Digression aside, there’s been ferver in this game to get my lynched since OZ first opened his mouth. How often do people listen to OZ? Never? So why are people listening to him now? Look for a mafia in here, I guarantee there’s one championing OZ to get me killed.

Under the assumption that Mafia have known <Icege>’s name since pre-game here’s some interesting factoids.

The WPP fiasco/medic saga

I feel like its risky, but that’s a smart play I hadn’t thought of. I felt like it was pretty likely that SWBeta survives without any help anyway, but this turns the 95% into a 100%, and basically guarantees us a day 4 lynch of mafia. You might not get as much info as you think, since if they know <kaz> is dying day 4 they can easily use the first 3 days as mind games.

The upside is that the medic, if they’re protecting SWBeta, isn’t gonna disrupt the UC investigations. Without a Forger role on the mafia side, we really can’t afford to protect the UC over and over again lol

This post is one of the first to raise my hackles. 1. Claims initially that the witness protection program plan is risky, only to never see it as such again. 2. Clearly states the limitations of finding one mafia name by day four at the expense of medic protection for other important roles. 3. He believes that <SWBeta> would have been capable of living undetected until day 4 but yet still feels the program is needed. Why? Is it because mafia already had 50% of the puzzle?

I mean, if the mafia claims to be SWBeta to throw off the medic, then when the real <SWBeta> comes out, that scum is toast. So I don’t see how the mafia could benefit from that? The only way it may backfire is if the mafia manages to kill the medic within the first 2 nights, and then kills <SWBeta> before night 3. That said I’m not really convinced that it’s likely that <SWBeta> dies before night 3 anyway. that’s 3 lynches and 3 kills (assuming the vigi doesn’t kill people) so if all the kills were randomized, that’s 6/30 chance of him dying. It’s higher when you factor in that mafia won’t kill themselves, and can potentially steer lynches.

But if we go with the other option, the “witness protection program” then they first have to guess on the <Icege> role, and then also after that find the time to kill the <SWBeta> role. That’s 2 nights to get done what would otherwise take 1. It really does increase the odds of getting that <kaz> name.

This post has eerily mirrored current events. Not damning evidence but food for thought.

lol oz never change. But please, point out this bad logic. I just read hax’s post, and the only real downside I’ve agreed with out of the whole thread so far was the fact that this plan leaves all the other roles out in the open un-protected, which can definitely be a bad thing. But let’s not pretend that the medic is likely to make a save, just randomly its a 1 in 30 chance. But the potential is there, which is a smart look at it. It completely eliminates the medic from the picture, I see that… but it also guarantees that the medic is working towards good.

Justifying the medic ignoring a chance at protecting the other important roles (Carpenter, UC, etc) by reinforcing that tying up a protection resource for three night kills will result in “good” things for civilians.

Also I just realized the delicious irony that when I point out DG’s idea as a mafia setup it’s all everyone needs to form a bandwagon on him, but when I post at least 3x the amount of convincing evidence against PW all you guys close your eyes.

Dismissal out of hand and calling “wolf/jesus toast” on something is one way to destroy its credibility. It may have been an honest exploration of “what if’s” but the adamant adherence to the mafia possessing an LG block isn’t really jesus toast.

Once again, dismissing accusations against yourself without really providing a solid rebuttal. Saying “You know I’m a civilian because this is how I play as a civilian”. Posting that you’re well aware of how you play as a civilian isn’t proof that you aren’t mafia. In fact, it lends itself to you being mafia even more. Why? Because mafia try hard NOT to appear as guilty. Of course you would try and appear as civilian willy if you were mafia; that’s the point.

If Anybody else was contacted, they would have come forward. They didn’t. It was Alpha who was contacted, and it clearly states that the person contacted is a fucking civ.

Assuming they had <Icege> pinned before the game started, absolutely. But am I to believe they had Icege’s name, and then suddenly somebody completely unassociated with the mafia, proposed the plan that would just so happen to play out perfectly for them? That’s a huge coincidence. RF was pro plan, and he was civ and the person the plan would have most benefited. I felt it was risky initially, yes, but came to embrace it later when somebody started bringing up numbers of how likely it was he was going to be killed.

You can call it tying up, I call it “Protecting a civ 100% that guarantees a mafia name.” You can’t argue the medic generally has much of a chance of making a save, unless that medic is Icege himself, the granddaddy of saves.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a last gasp of somebody to confirm my identity 100%, all I can do is point out that I am playing the same I always play. With one exception, I’m not rolling over to die like I normally do, I’m doubling down to save my ass

Chief explicitly said in his last gasp to lynch AlphaCommando, and we were waiting around for his last gasp to make our next move (getting the civ names, at least). I saw that, and submitted my kill because it seemed like the easiest way to discredit Chief, save myself, and just make a point. What’s done is done, no going back on that.

Two LGs calling me out. @Oerba saying he vaguely recalls me going through a chain of events, but he can’t remember exactly what they were, and doesn’t have time to look through posts to actually, you know, quote anything or provide any specifics whatsoever. Thanks, bro! I guess you weren’t around in the Vamps/Werewolves game, where my first post was a detailed theorizing of potential vamp and wolf strategies so civs could stay one step ahead of the monster factions.

And Chief saying that PW and Vynce both raised eyebrows for me, but that I didn’t follow through in any way. Because my day 1 reads are always gdlk, and so I should get tunnel vision and demand their blood like I’m OZ. And did you not pay attention when I voted for Vynce? **Given today’s events, my likely vote is PW, but I have a little more questioning to do first. **

Do you think any mafia voted for DG to blend in? I’ve been thinking about it.

My theory is that DG is mafia. And at least one of his buddies voted for him. It would be a close vote, but the results were predictable enough when you weigh in Chief pushing his demise (knowing they were going to kill Chief). So even if they accidentally killed him, they were only losing a day/night with him. And one of them got to look really clean.

lol not really sure what that means, but I’ve had good success in the past trusting my day 1 reads. They’re not always Mafia, but they typically lead to mafia in one way or another (i.e. if they’re civ, Mafia is quick to join in on my reads then try to blame me for it). Re Augustus… I blame Chief. I wouldn’t say I trust him, and him possibly trying to say he wouldn’t vote against me to buddy up to me might be a ploy, but at this point I’ll take it. Chief was pointing out how I was playing too squeaky clean, definitely not civ willy style, so I decided to go in on the person who actually did stand out to me at the time, @Augustus . Normally I like to call out a quieter, “weaker” player (no offense to anybody in the past : P) who I can bully around more. This time I wanted somebody who was actually able to take and deflect it, without automatically going “Rargh lynch willy.” I don’t trust him, but I suspect him about 50% as much as I might have led on.

Re DG it’s hard for me to see a way he’s Mafia, unless he’s <Kaz> and the Witness Protection Program was his hail mary. As much as it implicates me, I have to stand by that his plan was the right move and that he is probably clean. But then he decided to toss me to the lynch when he felt the slightest bit of heat so fuck that guy, he can get lynched as far as I care. More suspicious than Augustus, for sure

Is it possible mafia killed chief to make DG look guilty? And if so then that would support the theory that mafia did not know RF’s identity prior to his RC. This game is getting confusing fast, so many mixups already

As a discussion topic, since its so quiet, one of the biggest dividers we had was the witness protection program. So then, do you think it was more likely that mafia was for or against the plan?

Personally, I think that they were against the plan, knew that Fuzzy was <SWBeta>, and used their pull to get him lynched day 1. This is the only reason I even consider that Alpha is really mafia. All the people who came out against the plan were trying to cast those pro plan as lynchable targets (DG, Fuzzy, Me).

The flipside is that they didn’t have the <SWBeta> role known, but the medic role known (as per the enforce last night). And they were pro plan, in an attempt to get <SWBeta> to claim so they could easily neutralize the medic and kill him. If this is the case, it would most likely point to DG being part of the mafia (Probably <Kaz> if I had to guess) proposing the plan in the first place. Otherwise, it would be super unlikely such a plan was proposed NOT by the mafia, when the mafia had the tools to take it out completely. This paints DG and Me as dirty, because we were both big pushers of the plan.

Or it’s just a large storm of coincidence, they didn’t know either role and just got really lucky.

So which do you think it is?

Also, @Augustus you came out pretty harsh after Fuzz died on everyone who didn’t support the plan, but I don’t remember you being a strong supporter of the plan before Fuzz died. Were you just straddling the fence until you knew which side to come down on? Remind me your position on the plan BEFORE fuzz died.

Please remind me what evidence supports the idea that mafia knew of RF’s identity before his RC? If I were mafia I’d be in support of the witness plan assuming they didn’t know RF’s identity because my fellow witnessed demon’s death being a foregone conclusion on day3/4 could be used to our advantage with red herrings thrown out, which during the early stages of the game you know some players are more than willing to latch onto given the lack of useful leads. Sacrificing 1 mafia for spreading false info and dissent within the civs is pretty cost efficient depending on how it plays out.

Also you sound like you haven’t been reading my posts, I said earlier that Augustus was the only people who was against the witness plan for the same reason I was: It was highly unlikely RF would be on the chopping block by day3 so he could just keep quiet and only RC when he needed to so the threat of dying would hopefully only come from a lucky night kill. But, yes you made note of his stance switching too, interesting.

Mostly for the same reasons everyone else does. You know I play the game more so from the psychological standpoint. Usually I can feel people out from the get go, but I know I didn’t have a good feeling about him even before Fuzz died. No one can come in and take that from me. He’ll probably come in with some long rebuttal that’ll make a few people question the direction they’re going in voting him out in typical Pimp Willy fashion. But like you, I’m willing to put my neck on the line should he come out innocent.

We’ve already stated we feel the same way about Bious I believe, and I’m willing to follow your course of action on the people you want to take out. I think you’re civ, or at least I hope we’re right. My reads thus far have lined up with yours. Let’s take them out one by one and we should have a fairly quick game.

I’m not sure about Vynce as of this moment. He usually posts more and usually has a way of calling out certain individuals but IMO Vynce has been rather passive thus far. Also, he’s gotten a pass from Chief dying. Does anyone have anything to make of that so far?

My phone sucks, takes pictures with a green tint on everything. It did feel like a horror movie, squinting up at a bright light while 2 chicks are using sharp needles, saws, and some sort of electric burning gun that I could smell but not feel. Having them spray water while you’re tilted back in the chair, felt like I was getting water boarder, then they stick the suction thing so far down my throat it felt like I deep throat more than my wife does, fighting my gag reflex so I don’t get fucking stabbed by the short asian dentist who just smacked me with some sort of tool when the pressure of prying my tooth caused it to slip.

After reading through the whole LG and Hax/Syn’s posts I’m starting to agree that we should hold of on lynching AC. I didn’t really have a solid basis for that view anyway but went with it since Chief suspected him and Oz put him high on his list. And I overestimated the whole LG block thingy.

As for people being suspicious about me. I’d be that too to be honest seeing how I don’t post that much and been hung up on the lynch AC idea. Don’t know if it counts for anything but I didn’t bandwagon on Radical at least.

The fact that you didn’t vote to lynch RF proves nothing, by the way.

Not to save my own ass, but assuming they did know <SWBeta>, there’s gotta be a good number of Mafia on that list. Aidebit, Forge, Rellik, Kaz. I still don’t buy AC but he could be the fifth. Try to find somebody who was pro plan but then voted fuzzy anyway. I feel like his role claim mucks this up a bit, nobody bought it at the time it came.
