I’m not sure what reaction you’re talking about when you say “over the top reaction”
And I’m also that weary of a no lynch. I’m just curious as to what people’s motives are for they’re action. Obviously the possibility of lynching a civ is the top reason, but being that the numbers day one were heavily in favor of the village, it wouldn’t be that bad of an option for the monsters either. If it wasn’t pretty much unanimous that most would be no-lynching, I just don’t see the point other than wanting stay neutral.
I’m assuming that we lynch one of our own and Helsing holds his bow, as it is the most likely scenario. The chances of both Helsing and the Soldier targeting the same player are slim so I don’t include them. Same for Helsing killing Mafia, if he chooses to Assassinate it’s more than likely going to be a civilian (19/25 because Azure’s in the Town Hall). And it’s very possible for us to lynch Mafia, it’s just statistically unlikely at 6/23 to 6/25.
If you plan appropriately for the worst case scenario anything otherwise is a pleasant surprise.
Wow, my math here is really shitty. Tomorrow night there will be a maximum of 25 players left and a minimum of 23. My point stands however.
The math was really all I was trying to point out, lol. Also I’m looking at the worst case scenario as two biters on the hunt tomorrow, so that’s really what I’ve been trying to plan against. I guess that’s just the way I look at stuff.
July 7th
*Last night was… intriguing. I heard the sounds of werewolves howling in the night, enough to wake me from my sleep in cold sweat. It felt like something was watching me from the window, but when I looked, nothing was there… and the feeling was gone. I think they know I am here, luckily I do not think they can get me. Either that, or they just enjoy tortuing me.
Just before the sun rose over the horizon, we all cautiously emerged from our domiciles. Vynce was freed from Jail, cursing at the others for forcing him in there all night. Azure stretched as he exited the Town Hall alone, content with his good nights sleep. The rest of us were not so well rested as him, leading to him catching more than one angry gaze.
But more interesting is what we found slumped over the stocks, chained in place; the beaten body of a man handcuffed to the stocks. We approached cautiously, and were glad we did; I saw the yellow in his eyes, and the hiss as he tried to lunge at us. The two large fangs were a sure sign.
“This is a vampire” I told the crowd. A few of the weaker ones gasped and fainted. I stepped closer. I knew we had Van Helsing to thank for this. The face looked up at me. I noticed his was smoking quite noticeably. I looked backwards over my shoulder, and the sun was starting to peek over the tops of the buildings. I smiled, and looked back at him, positioning myself so the shadow covered his face.
“Any last words, SoVi3t?” I laughed. He sneered, giving me the dirtiest look I had seen in my 30 odd years on the earth. Just as he started to speak, I stepped sideways, bathing him in direct sunlight. He writhed in agony, and was burnt into ash on the spot.*
It is now Day Phase. Day 2 will end at 9:00 AM PST on Friday November 22nd
