Just got home, I’m catching up since page 9 or so and will give my thoughts. All the posts I made today were somewhat haphazard as I only had a few minutes to skim this thread at work today.
The only suitable targets would be civilians, though a “Player X has been cured” message would basically be a death sentence.
My opinions on everyone? Well, they’re doing just dandy, thanks for asking. There are a few things that need to be clarified before I can resolve my opinions of certain people.
Azure’s suspicion of Vynce
Missing Person has ignored my statements against him
Lack of discussion about Jail & Town Hall
Orochizoolander making sense two days in a row
WAH’s fixation with the bolded letters
Everything surrounding Vynce
The flowchart Mafia strategy is to place several names on a list where one of them is another Mafia. This is the generally accepted “good play”. However, MP has shown that he is willing to use yomi to turn bad plays into good ones. In the RE game he went in hard against a wallflower (SajinShasaya) and then killed him that night, a mistake first-time players generally do. This worked, and ultimately the only reason he lost that game was because he posted the identities of most of the remaining players, Mafia included.
Just out of curiosity, when did Hax ever accuse pie, or insinuate that he would be voting for pie? To my knowledge, he’s been pretty adamant about a no lynch as well as @Bious has been.
*See, this is where the hard part lays. If we can create a system of checks and balances within the role carrying teams we can pull this off. It’s the matter of how we can pull this off.
If the Jailer can somehow find a way to signal that he knows their identities then the other parties involved can in turn figure out who he and his partner are. Moreover the Priest can protect the Jailer from being bitten every night in the event that the soldier or jailer dies. As for the other roles I’m completely stumped but I feel there might be a way we can pull this off, though the more I start to look at the angles the more I realize just how big a challenge it might be for us civs.
But at the same time it’s an exciting and powerful prospect. *
So the question becomes this. We know that having a lot of confirmed civs is a HUGE boon and this gambit would give us 5 if I’m not mistaken (if you count the Soldier and Jailer as well). That can definitely come into play for Lynch Votes during the day if done correctly.
The question is, can you guys honestly trust two people with all that power? Especially if they aren’t up to your standards of play? I mean, if they end up being subpar players we might be screwing ourselves more than anything. Then again, a play like this might be worth that risk.
I’ve actually just started replaying it about two hours ago. Still trying to catch those little kids (on Night 2, no less!). I hate that part of the game.
To our advantage would be a possibility in both monster factions targeting the same person, and solidarity in 9 people voting one way, plus everyone that was forced to bandwagon with the Superfriends. Bogus RCs could still be investigated in the confines of town hall, and doing so in the first place would be an inevitable sacrifice.
Is this a for real question or are trying to bait something out. Who’s to say that the mafia don’t all claim the same roles? Why would you give monsters the luxury of knowing who they can safely bite/assassinate tomorrow? Again, if this is a “legitimate,” @Azure is at the top of my list for dirty.
