From Da Rules:
Shapeshifter
Grants access to the Shapeshift Skill. Shapeshift may be used during the night phase to target one person; that person is secretly hidden and the Shapeshifter takes on that persons persona at the end of the night, and lasts until the end of the next night. If the Shapeshifter is inside of Town Hall, this grants the ability to target somebody inside of the Town Hall. The shapeshifter becomes the target and takes all consequences of actions targeting him/her, and any investigations will be returned as if the target was a vampire. They also get to manipulate that persons vote for the day
But that would require the werewolf to know who the Mayor is. Or to guess mad awesome. But even with an awesome guess, if the Mayor is an unknown variable, then the werewolf would just be shape shifted into “random player’s name”, and not the Mayor role itself, right?
My intent was to draw attention to this statement in the rules and contrast it with Bious’s remark:
Bious said that Shapeshifting ignores the Town Hall, but there is no clause that says the Shapeshifter may target someone outside the hall if he is inside and vice-versa. I’m curious as to how Bious came to his conclusion, and if he is indeed correct.
@Vynce roles and allegiances were assigned randomly this time, no recruitments.

This part gave me that conclusion. The town hall card already states that the groups can only use their abilities on each other, so I assumed that Shapeshifter bypasses that thanks to the clause on it. Otherwise, why put a clause on it.
I’d say it’s a good excuse. Mafia were made randomly, so nobody could have recruited a “wallflower” archetype.

I doubt I’d agree with it that much even knowing the condition.
Are you implying that my inactivity is a good excuse for me to be Day 1 lynch? Mafia or not, Day 1 or not, i want another reason why you want to lynch me besides my activity and wallflower like appearance

It’s not an excuse for his inactive behaviour. I said nothing about it being mafia-esq.
SAD isn’t a bad player but he often falls behind and then struggles to keep up.
I think lynching wallflowers because they’re wallflowers is a bad strategy for this particular game.
Secondly, we have 6 key players that cannot be converted. I think you all need to Civs each other somehow and coordinate your lynch votes discretely. You all have a tool to become trusted civs. Use it.
*Just got in, currently catching up on the thread. *

Oh right, and I already locked in my lynch vote, and I’ll be gone for pretty much the rest of the day phase, in case anyone would be wondering what the hell may be up with my vote.
Uh… For who?
My argument is as follows:
1.) SoVi3t voted in order to kickstart the day phase lynching about twelve hours before it would be over.
2.) He voted for Dark General, due to how his posts stand out.
3.) He wasn’t required to vote at all, and Dark General always posts like that.
4.) Therefore, his reason for voting, and who he voted for are wrong.
I don’t have suspicion on anyone else and I’m about to go, so I voted him. Nothing personal.
*Soviet didn’t vote for me, NinetiesArcade (jokingly?) threw my name out to see what would happen. I don’t know if this was a beginner mistake on your part or something else entirely.
I’m also pretty intrigued by Nineties throwing my name out like that. *

Exactly the opposite. I’m saying that you shouldn’t be lynched (Day 1, at least) just because you are a wallflower.

Contrived exchange is contrived.
I’m going to send in my vote for pietastic in a few hours because this is the one mafia game where it would be detrimental to all civilians for anyone to reveal themselves as role-less and he did exactly that, early on too.
bad play or bad bluff?
didn’t think of it that way…
OMG as I posted my last post I thought I accidentally edited holy shot that was close. oh and any of you salty niggas that want to vote for me just because you lost last game go for it, lets see how far that goes in helping civilians secure a win.

Right now, I’d be inclined to vote:
Pietastic OR Missing Person
(or)
Godotsrevenge OR SumAznDude
OZ, pietastic is smart enough to know that claim includes yomi don’t you think?

How about… y’know, doing something that would changed their minds about you?
Not an attack… just food for thought.
about 14 hours from the deadline and i don’t really know who to vote for…
what does welcoming votes for no reason do for us?
Curious, why the pair-ups?
