Now that allegiances have been sent out, I’ll answer your question PW. I’d definitely recruit these three:

Gandamu:
Civ - Delays Mafia night kill
Mafia - Silences; can only affect same person once
I have a soft spot for silencing abilities, they can turn the tide if you understand the opponent’s mindset

Hifumi (Otaku):
Civ - PM conversation with player or random jury member
Mafia - Mafia learns who UC investigates each night
The ability to confirm another player as civilian, learn their role, and communicate with them is very strong depending on the players involved, especially considering that the PMd person has a 15/16 chance of having a role. Taking away that factor while adding in the UC investigations is very strong, even if the UC is killed early on.

Oowada (Gang Leader):
Civ - Can pick someone to be lynched, regardless of votes, once.
Mafia - Whenever a Mafia dies the Mafia get an extra kill the next night.
Now that there are 5 Mafia, Oowada’s Mafia ability could theoretically result in 4 bonus kills, which is a huge numbers advantage.

But I’d have to think more on the others. Likely choices:

Chihiro (Programmer):
Civ/Mafia - Can end Night/Day phase at any time.
This is flat out a numbers advantage, similar to Oowada. If Chihiro or an important Mafia is getting lynched this buys them another day.

Asahina (Swimmer):
Civ - When Oogami (Bodyguard Schoolgirl) dies she learns the Valedictorian’s name.
Mafia - Can’t be killed by Genocider Syo.
I might recruit her just to prevent her civ ability from activating. If Oogami is protecting 2 important people every night it’s only a matter of time before the Mafia kill her and the Valedictorian’s name is sent to Asahina.

Kiyotaka (Hall Monitor)
Civ - Medic
Mafia - No Kill
The No Kill is valuable, and Mikan (backup Medic) doesn’t know that she’s the Medic and might not protect accordingly. The Nurse seems like a hard role to play for that reason.

Mikan (Nurse)
Civ - Backup Medic. If target had been protected by Medic previously the target gets protection until the player would die.
Mafia - Can block 2 Last Gasps.
Her protection ability could get very annoying if it’s in the hands of a good player. The ability to block last gasps is also very useful.

How about you Pimp? You already mentioned that you’d recruit Medic instantly, what other roles would you recruit?

And, well, since you accused me because I didn’t know the ins and outs of how many mafia there was… where does that put you?

He doesn’t really control the Vigi.

Here’s an example:

Mafia targets player X
Vigi targets player Y

In the write-up it will say:

Mafia killed player Y
Vigi killed player X

And they can do this every night phase that the Vigi targets someone.

1-Shot Bulletproof means that he has to be killed twice. If he is lynched, he has to be killed/lynched again to die. If he is killed, he has to be killed/lynched again to die.

Good question. If it is and the write-up says that she was Medic protected, the Medic will know that it was a lie (if they weren’t recruited/killed). If it doesn’t, Syo will know that something’s up.
