DAY 0: DAYTIME
It was a hot, bright, and sunny day in the village of Esarkaysville. The annual parade to commemorate the village’s founding was in full swing. Colorful floats in the shape of the village’s founders were rolling by, accompanied by dancers in costumes and circus performers. The villagers were having a great time. They were drinking themselves silly and dancing to the festival music. Despite all the merriment going on, every villager seemed to have something on their minds that was worrying them. But it was the annual parade; it only comes once a year-- there are always the remaining 364 days that can be spent worrying. So they continued to party. After an hour, the parade stopped in the village square, in front of the Town Hall to make way for the Mayor of Esarkaysville, SWBeta. He was to make a speech.
SWBeta proudly made his way to the podium in front of Town Hall. The music ceased, and everyone became quiet. “People of Esarkaysville, it’s an honor to once again be celebrating the founding of our homely little village with you all. 135 years and we’re still goin’ strong!”
Then came the cheering. SWBeta raised his hand and the cheering died.
“Although this is supposed to be a happy occasion, there is something that I must address with you all before I continue my speech. I know that you are all worrying about something, and I know what that something is…”
SWBeta tightened and readjusted his fresh, sparkling, red and blue polka-dotted bow tie.
“That crime family… the mafia. They’ve returned. They struck our neighbors in Teekaysville and left the village a smoldering, burning, pile of rubble. You’re worried that they’ll be coming here next. Well, I can assure you that even if they make it here, they will not be able to–”
SWBeta stood still, mouth still open. He reached for his neck. Before he could touch it, a geyser of blood sprayed out of his neck. He crumpled over, then he laid. He clutched his neck, then became motionless.
“SNIPER!!” Someone in the crowd yelled.
Screams. Screams everywhere. Panicking. Hysteria. Madness. Everyone scattered and ran in circles like a stampede. Few people ran over to SWBeta, who was still clutching his neck. He was still alive, but fading fast.
“You… you get those sumnabitches. You get them good. Give ‘em the ol’ uppercut we’re known for. Don’t let them take over Esarka…”
SWBeta gargled on his own blood as he died. His shiny, fresh, red and blue bow tie was now just red… a bloody mess.
No one knew where the bullet came from, and a gunman was nowhere to be found.
A few hours later, the village gathered around the few that stayed behind with SWBeta’s body. Some villagers remembered that this was how the mayor of Teekaysville was assassinated right before the mafia laid waste to the village. They also remembered that some of the mafia members were hiding among the civilians and destroyed the village from the inside out. The hysteria and panic were gone, and all that remained were anger and rage. They wanted revenge. They wanted to put a stop to the mafia before it was too late.
Immediately the village demanded a LYNCHING.
For one time only, the UNDERCOVER COP must now PM me despite it being daytime and investigate TWO players. After this, it will be only at NIGHTTIME that you are required to do so.
It is now time for everyone to collectively decide on a lynching.

@Ryusuke: Maybe not in the beginning, but there may be some times where I’ll wish to speed things up to add a sense of urgency. I don’t want people to be taking like a month to get the necessary amount of lynch votes. :mad:

Well I’m a late night lurker, so I’d only really be able to defend myself around these same times…hopefully the time cycle agrees with this. But if y’all are gonna decide the vote during the day then I guess I’m screwed. Also, EVO is this weekend and SRK usually hiccups incessantly during that time, so I dunno about that. Keep me in the game, vote out someone who is going to EVO or something…or at least lets get a deadline for the voting so I know how to properly defend myself…

He was the first to want to kill someone, obviously the first person to name a kill is apart of the mafia. Symbolic only seems excited because his hard on hasn’t dropped yet.
Other than the fact that Symbolic seems to be excited he didn’t even vote for anyone yet. He posted other comments instead. That looks suspicious to me!
