The minds of some players seem to work in a way that’s similar to mine. It’s usually easy for me to determine their allegiance.
Many of you are exceedingly difficult for me to read. I’d do and say things a to convey my supposed innocence as mafia. Other people may do so in earnest and I think “ah ha!” But no.
Some of you are missing a hilarious mock game/beta test, btw. I’m pumped for the endgame.
Funny thing about the Negreanu thing is that he was my favorite player, and half of what style of poker I emulated when I played.
It just so happened that we also shared a penchant for hockey. I literally had zero clue I was going Negreanu when I got on Zoom, I just happened to wear my Red Wings jersey to the dentist appointment, and the hat was sitting on my desk, so why not?
Did anybody else find that LiveMafia thing to be oddly intimate*** though? I mean maybe it wasnt the same for you guys because I feel like quite a few of you knew each other fairly well beforehand, but reading some of the posts feels abnormally personal now that I can associate a face with the name. Like seeing how people actually act lets me read what they say under a new light, instead of as the generic passive aggressive SRKGD user.

Actually I’ve done game nights with Fuzz/Forge/Syn/Alpha and others on Skype before. The difference is, we were just doing audio chats at the time. But this was the first time I had done any webcam stuff with people here.
It’s a pretty unique experience, and I really enjoyed it. The only person that really caught me off guard though was Augustus. I was expecting more of the Augustus fare that I was used to, he was definitely the most different person than his online persona out of everyone. Not in a bad way, it was just so interesting.
One time, just one time though, I want Augustus to pull of one of his Awesome~ reads, followed by that karaoke mic drop.
Augustus was definitely the most shocking for me. That karaoke mic made me laugh so hard.
I was surprised that we didn’t have any negros represented considering this is SRK: Black until proven otherwise.
We need to get kaz or Beta out of retirement.
Or BullDancer even.
It’s gonna mess with me for a while. Now that I know what Alpha’s face looks like whenever we’re playing games I picture his face saying whatever he’s saying and it messes with my brain so much.
And now you guys know how I didn’t know I knew Augustus IRL for like 4 months.

I actually was super surprised about how everyone looked. Like Alpha looked at least 20% more emo than I thought he would. Synonym was more white than I expected he’d be. Jason actually has a face (I kinda just associated him with his avatar). Etc
Knowing people’s faces helps me a lot though.
