Real talk:
The GOC that MP and I are in has had extremely heated exchanges, with very intense levels of personal attacks. Attacks against the abilities of the player, as well as the quality of game played on their respective forums have also been common.
for this reason I didn’t have a lot of fun for the first few days.
I think our games here are for the most part very civil.
I understand that tensions came to a head in the recent DBZ game, and I sympathise with both sides of this argument.
On the one hand, HAX can be difficult to comprehend at times, and the volume of his posts occasionally makes me grow cross eyed. I find it difficult to follow trains of thought spanning multiple posts.
On the other, HAX is a very insightful player and we don’t need to ostracise anybody based on their posting styles. Hell, otherwise we’d perma-ban all the wallflowers too.
I just think that a stringent COC would limit our ability to fully play the deception game.
Maybe just follow the tenant “don’t be an asshole” with an addendum that GM’s reserve the right to ban extremely obnoxious players from their own games.
Tbh i hardly payed attention to Naruto pre-shippuden. I didnt really like it for some reason. So I cant recall any teams numbers besides 7 because main character stuff.
To be fair though at this point in shippuden, anybody but sauce, naruto, and Guy look absolutely pointless in existence. So I’m glad that the Naruto theme will be Chunin exam before everybody got pew-pew power ups and turned this shit into mini Dragonball

Matter of fact, I’ve thought about instituting a personal ban on a certain player for things said to me during the EOW game, accusing me of rigging the game and various other things.
Yes, the game was over really quick, but I have no intentions of ever fixing games for any alignment. So that player might not find me as open to letting him into my future games, depends on his conduct in those games though.
Hmm, so first it seemed like Diablo was the clear winner.
Now it seems like Naruto is getting some love. I have 4 out of the 6 classes done on the first pass for Diablo. Will probably finish it out, then flesh out the Naruto characters. And then maybe post samples of each, and let there be an official vote on which gametype to play.
The plus side is whichever one doesn’t get run, will still be around for a future game : )
I feel like PM’S would need to be allowed between teammates in the naruto game for coordination to be worth a damn. It would just be a pleasantry in the Diablo game
The holding multiple items glitch needs to be patched. PM’s being allowed was fun, but maybe could use tweaking - maybe announce publicly who is in a PM with who? Or limit number of PMs per day.
I could live with limiting PM count, but publicly announcing who is talking to who would pretty much defeat half the purpose of a PM. There also wouldn’t be the fun of deciphering who is in bed with who.
Being given an item shouldn’t mean you automatically equip it, that’s all that’s really needed.
For PMs… I think its a double edged sword. It makes the game way more strategic, but at the same time, it makes the thread super fucking boring. People who check in on the game wouldnt feel like they want to play if 90% of what happens goes on behind the scene. It also might make new players feel unwelcome if they’re not cool enough to be in the PM crowd. But who knows. Overall its positive I think.
If anything, probably limit the amount of PMs you can start or something. For Naruto, PMs between team only. For Diablo, PMs within your party only most likely.

On a sad note, my Demon Hunter died this morning. T1 A1 Old Tristram - I was standing in an arcane laser within a plague circle and noticed a half second too late.
Also since Arena is really a thing now, not just an experiment, will it have its own hall of fame on OP as well? Highest all time kill count, most kills in one game, most games won, longest phase streak of no deaths (spanning multiple games) etc.
I’d have to give the edge to the Naruto game over the Diablo one based on what I know right now. A situation where a team of 3 needs to accomplish a goal sounds more manageable than a full class system with skill trees and the whatnot and what all.
