does the lover thing have any actual significance or is it just a refenrence to the show? I dont rembmer anything like that in the 2 previous mafia games Ive seen

NOTICE TO ALL PLAYERS:
I will be sending out PMs two days prior to game start for a pre-game final check in to all players and alternates. If, two hours before game start, you have not checked in, and you are a player, you will be bumped, and I will give your spot to the first available alternate.
Roles will be sent out an hour before game time.
IF everyone checks in, and the amount of alternates stay at 1, I may consider adding one extra civilian role for 26 players, as that won’t make a large amount of difference in time. But ultimately, I’ll leave that up to my discretion while considering the opinions of the registered players as well.
Lovers get to PM each other privately throught the game. If one dies the other gets revealed to the Mafia.
Forge is an IRL friend of mine, I’ll be sure to bug 'em about checking the thread often. And we won’t be discussing the game whatsoever, of course.
Here’s the thing with the lover role.
Yeah, it has significance to the show. But also, it’s a decent ability in its own right, as it gives two people confirmed roles, where they know not to suspect the other, and allows them to figure things out together. On the flip side, if one of them dies, then the mafia also has a confirmed identity of a now useless role, and know who not to target for a night kill.

The other flip side is that the lover typically feels the need to reveal the other lover’s identity in his Last Gasp, so both sides typically end up knowing who the lover is, which is a confirm for everyone. This is a typical, balanced role in mafia play. And depending on who gets the roles, and how long they last together, it’s a definite game changer.

I totally disagreed with a lot of his list, but yet, it’s scary, at the same time, I could understand why they made the list as well. South Park is just that strong.
How long is the game ban if someone gets caught playing with 2 accounts and gets assigned 2 roles (preferably mafia and civ)?

He was talking to highlulu while playing D3 together and had already found out that kaz was mafia. He also wound up finding out that highlulu was the vigilante and told highlulu to kill kaz.
why would u do that it just seems so dumb
If someone made a second account to play the same game twice at once that should definitely be a permanent ban. That’s one of the most extreme methods of cheating and can completely ruin the game.
