(I should have known today would be shitty since I wanted to do something relaxing. I really shouldn’t even bother trying anymore.)
So, I know understand everything is to know about that “Gangnam” thing people keep referencing.
That is to say, there is nothing to know. Well, nothing beyond this anyway:

That’s probably been posted here before. If so, then fuck you. [/in worse mood than usual]
I normally ignore you, but I have to correct this despite hating Oakland. It’s not the “murder capital of the world”. Hell, it’s surprisingly not even the murder capital of the U.S.; I think that is Detroit or something. IIRC, the “murder capital of the world” is some shitty city in southeast Asia, I think somewhere in Indonesia, last time I heard. It’s been a while though, and while I (or you) could easily check, I don’t really care at present.
Got an invite from Ubisoft for a playtest session, which is happening next week. I hope I can get in there and use it as an opportunity to get something permanent. Maybe I’ll get to see Jade Raymond too.
(Weird. I didn’t see The Invincibile Swordsman’s post when I posted last time. Maybe I just skipped over it given how out of it I am.)
Whatever the case may be, I suppose it matters not. With regards to comic book-related news though, I have to again lament that Stephanie Brown just can’t seem to catch a break despite the fact that I’ve literally never read a comic book with her in. DC is really egregious in its hatred of her. They would at least get some minor respect if they just came out and said it rather than pussyfooting around like politicians.
Yeah, Mulan is pretty boss. She’s easily the most useful “princess” since she’s the only one with any combat experience save maybe Jasmine. Mulan’s also pretty much the only proactive princess and the only one who isn’t during it for the love of a guy. Shan Yu actually being ruthless rather than just “menacing” and more or less killing a bunch of people, a couple of them practically on-screen, is also why I like Mulan.
It’s kind of weird to realize how old that movie is though, especially when you remember that’s basically where Christina Aguilera (sp?) got her first big “break”.
So your daughter has good tas–.
…Burn her at the stake for this blasphemy. It is what God wants.
I don’t really like either of those characters. But thankfully, I don’t read blogs or hang out with comic nerds so I know nothing of these, “fangirls” or Stephanie Brown fans or Cassandra Cain fans.
Steph… it felt like she was just added because there wasn’t a Robin and the writers wanted a female Robin. But she was so bland and annoying. I remember her having no personality.
Cassandra was basically your run-of-the-mill assassin who didn’t talk and had her memory altered and had no human contact that somehow became a good person.
Oh yeah… I haven’t seen S.E. Cupp in quite awhile. For some idiotic reason, Fox stopped putting her on the air. I’m not sure what they did with Julie Banderas (previously the absolute #1 piece of ass on the network, without question) either… I haven’t seen her in a few months! Fox has really dropped the ball on the TnA issue lately.
*Actraiser happens to be one of my favorite games of all time. It was the first game I played that let me be God. That concept was already good enough for instant legend-status, but everything else was on point as well: control, graphics, character designs… and it had the absolute best music I ever heard from a video game. Every bit of that soundtrack is GOLD. I actually still listen to that music on a regular basis. I’m definitely going if they ever have one of those “Video Game Music Live!” events here again.
*Y’know, there’s not much of a point to the “appear offline” xbox Live status if it’s so easy for people to see through it. Besides the achievement system giving away your true online status, I recently realized that your “last game played” part of the status gives it away too. A certain friend has been repeatedly laid off for long stretches of time… so lately he has literally NOTHING to do but annoy me on a daily basis… probably just sitting on Live each day waiting to catch me popping up online.
Hunchback of Notre Dame was quite good, but it’s easily the darkest of the (“classic”) Disney movies, due in part to how utterly human Frollo is:

R.I.P. Tony Jay a.k.a. Megabyte.
shrugs
They doubtless can be, but most fans of anything are annoying; “fan” is a truncated word from “fanatic” after all. It’s part of the reason I never bother with calling myself a fan of anything and being automatically wary of anyone who does, especially given the nature of both humanity and the Internet.
@Regarding Hunchback of Notre Dame for Ep: Idk how old your daughter is, Ep, but that movie could scare her a bit. It’s one of the few ‘dark’ Disney features, and Frollo(RIP Tony Jay) is a truly menacing and frightening competent(by Disney standards) villian. Just the Hellfire song would be enough to give quite a few adults chills.
Brave is a good choice. Competent female protagonists are few and far between in cinema as it is, even moreso in animation.
Brave is great, Hunchback of the Notre Dame is the most epic Disney movie… tied with TLK, imo. I say let your daughter watch it now… it builds character.
I like Stephanie Brown and was sad to see her run go early but it is what it is. Can’t put much stock in DC anything anymore so it’s not worth sweating.
You keep bringin this up. What are you hiding from?
I appreciate the collective of correctives. I should be ign’ant some more to get engaged at all in conversation. Keep some of those inner secrets to yourself please. We just got over nobody cares who ignores who, well aren’t you a big man. :shy: but maybe the truth sets you free or shows everyone who’s petty. Yes, I’m still top ranked petty human being.
petty better left unsaid
[details=Spoiler] People continued to ignore the other posts on it and where I said I may have gone too far and redacted that statement -as a stupid statement if you need that part so bad & were quick to want to talk about who has more murders buncha bloodthirsty hounds that’;s not shit to be proud about, how about the unjustified ones. You want a police force to be trusted even if that’s near impossible due to the type of personalities and corruption such a workforce attracts
All this
not worth responding to, and don’t know where I’m going with this anyway. Probably all out of the news got me riled up, as it is wont to do. didn’t watch the news today, no thanks[/details]
Internet 1 point o. Missing part of the youtube collective series: “5 minutes in the company of wolverine,” with a great one “Attack is one of my favorite words,” the video ends with grabbing Magneto. “Look who I’m saving, you’d think I was Xavier.” Magneto returns the favor later in that same episode saying the same line paraphrased, “…you’d think I was an X-Man.”
similar to James Cameron’s Titanic, i actively force myself to ignore anything that says “Gangnam Style” or any variation. still haven’t seen the main video. all i know it’s from Korea and too many people like it for it to be good.
she’s like one of 11 black chicks on the planet that are have dem legs. stay out of my territory.
also as the most hiralious of ilonies, KZOH doesn’t think she looks good.
also this solo is crispy as hell. DAT quick ascent at 4:40 followed by that buttery whammy descent. i know exactly what notes he’s playing (at 4:40). i tried it a few minutes ago. i can play it at -200% speed like a scrub. still counts as a win.
@SWBeta. i’ll listen to the music tomorrow. i got back from out of town late.
