If you aren’t buying Premium, you shouldn’t be bitching about the ads. The site costs money to run. The money has got to come from somewhere.

For those I PM bombed, I had to delete the video and re-upload it. The way to get to the video is still the same. It’s much better quality than the older one.

“Those” sites only hit me with an initial pop-under ad, followed with a side banner of some links to other sites that are highly relevant to the “matter” at hand.

It was never our intention to have ads stacking on top of other ads. That is obviously a glitch and will be fixed tomorrow.

Well, to be fair, this is General Discussion, so this is probably the last place on the site that should complain about generalized ads. FGD is still getting the non-FGD stuff… but FGD has it coming.

It fascinates me to see just how foolish MOST people appear to be in this country when it comes to money…it’s like 99% of the people that are alive now… they were daydreaming or perhaps sketching robot dinosaurs in their notebooks whenever it was time for the teacher to talk about simple elementary school-level math… like if you give the average person $3,200.00 cash right now… they will probably find a way to actually spend $8,000.04 before the day is over. I wonder when this stereotype of Americans will make it into the minds of people from other countries… on top of the “haha, they’re all fat” and “they have such a pitiful work ethic” aspects of the stereotype. It’s not like there’s a difficult concept to grasp here… if you’re making say 45,000 a year, don’t try to live like you’re actually making 75k. (*actually, even if I were making something like 120k a year, I wouldn’t try to live it up like someone who’s consistently bringing in a 7-figure income. Cost of living in TN is relatively low, btw… 100k+ a year here would be fuckin GOLD.) It should be no surprise that the government is so terribly irresponsible when it comes to the spending… the government is ultimately an extension/reflection of the people. It’s not like we created robots for Congress and all that jazz… they are financially irresponsible/incompetent goofs just like the rest of the general public here. I just don’t see how it’s that difficult to live within your means, unless Life itself (the asshole that it is) threw you some especially harsh curve-balls that forced you into a bad financial situation… nah, most of the time, it’s that person’s own fault. Few people will ever admit when anything bad is their fault though.

A friend recently told me something with regard to finances that was just… unbelievable, in a negative. I actually would not have told anyone that. He actually laughed about it, but that’s terrible… I almost feel a “second hand embarrassment” on his behalf.

the rest of the world hasn’t caught on that americans are terrible with money because, by in large, the rest of the world is just as bad or worse.
