It’s funny, I was just talking about how the Nightmare on Elm Street movies traumatized me when I was a kid, because I was watching them when I was like six years old, and I literally had nightmares for years because of them. But then when I was like 24 I rewatched the first NoES for the first time in years…and it became one of my favorite horror movies. Not only did it take away the sting I felt as a kid, I think it stands up as a legitimately great horror movie. Most of that was lost in the remake that came out a few years back, because it was soulless garbage, but whatever…
Anyway…I remember the second NoES pretty well, and I’m gonna go ahead and guess that it doesn’t hold up quite as well as the first one.
