I’m pretty amazed at how bad the PS3 interface is. All the menus take forever to load, they don’t buffer at all, the transparency causes issues with certain color backgrounds, and in-game chat is god-awful. I’ve heard of people playing DC Online with their XBoxes on just so they can chat with each other. And to think it used to be worse, it just boggles my mind.
sorry if anyone here is a sony fan, but game preferences and blu-ray aside, I don’t understand how you could even argue that the PS3 is a better system than the 360. I’m not much of a console gamer, and I’ve always held the attitude that they were about the same, it was just a matter of what network your friends were on and what exclusive titles you wanted to play. But after witnessing the crapfest that is PSN, I dunno.
I’m sure this has been debated to death, I’ve just never paid attention to it until now.

yeah…that’s PSN for ya. Now, I realize this is probably the developer’s fault…but Dead Nation doesn’t even have in-game chat. Oh yes…a modern-era game that is online co-op enabled…with no voice chat at all. When I played this game with a friend, we were actually on the phone, so that functioned as the “game chat”. That’s some sad shit, man.
There is also the waiting… updates seem to happen more often on PS3, so you’re sitting there waiting on the firmware update or whatever, then maybe you can start the game…oops, now you have to download the game’s update. Oh yeah if you just bought it you have to wait for a goddamn mandatory install, THEN the update. After the download, then it takes time to install the update. Even when updates happen on Live, I don’t recall it ever taking such a long period of time…then there’s the 100 logo screens you have to sit thru in this modern era of gaming. You could actually make a sandwich during this process, casually walk back over to the couch…and nearly finish eating the sandwich by the time you can actually play the game.
The Vanessa Hudgens situation— so far I’ve only seen the censored pictures, and it doesn’t look that great… the angle isn’t good, and the quality of the pictures is poor…it looks like a webcam snapshot from 2001. Come on, Vanessa…take high quality shots next time. This is insufficient jerkin material.
Speaking of lame ass low-quality jpgs…is there a high-quality option for facebook pictures? That’s a tragic case of an excellent source of material being ruined by the apparent limitations on picture size. Every pic I’ve acquired from there is small, sometimes almost thumbnail-status bullshit. It’s tragic when you see pictures that would’ve been LEGENDARY if they were in high quality.

Both have shitty manner just different types of shitty manners. For example Asians have shitty manner in a movie theater, but better manners when it comes to parents and elderly.
Americans have better manners in public places, but worst at home.
It really depends on what manners you rank are more important then others.

answering cell phones in a theater is fucking annoying though. like you hear a phone go off, whatever, fine, that can happen anywhere. then you hear “weyyyyy??” and a conversation follows, and you’re watching something like the King’s Speech and you’re thinking what the blue fuck is wrong with this person? do they seriously think this is acceptable behavior? you almost never see that shit in the states, but here you’ll literally see it four or five times PER movie

You make it sound like Asians respect elderly just becuase there is only one reason and that’s they are “above” them.
You have to also put in context what makes the elderly the way they are. Whether it was war or whatever. Most elderly Asians have lived through one war or another by now. WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, etc…
Also the fact that when they were young their parents didn’t know any better on what to teach them, and what not to. Now Asians American in today society still act like idiots when they are older then I have no rebuttal, because they have good examples on what to do or what not to do.
