And man FFXII was fun. I really don’t understand the hate that game got. It wasn’t THE BEST FF ever but it was still fun, and unlike X and X-2 (and now by extension XIII) it wasn’t a game full of corridors. You got to explore Evalice, and explore it pretty much at your leisure, they let you go where ever the fuck you wanted. The hunts where fucking fun, and the license board while flawed was a neat new idea.
I really really wish SE would release the International version of FFXII with the revamped license boards and them being tied to a job system.
FFXII is perfect. Everything about XII is good except Penelo.

Only thing good about FF12 was Balthier. Everything else was terrible mixed with ripoff. Penelo was fixed with Revenant Wings, though (and elevated to awesome with Dissidia 2).

Dissidia is a weird ass game but it was jam packed with content and shit to do. The Colosseum mode alone i wasted hours on.
The ending absolutely fucking ruined FF12.

Then, in the last ten minutes, everyone suddenly shuts off their memories and affections for all of their murdered loved ones, and the remnants of their subjugated, nigh enslaved country, and it turns into a chorus line of “Why Can’t We Be Friends”.

XII’s gameplay should’ve been updated for XIII. Had the worked the odd mix of turn based and sort of action rpgish thing it had going on it would’ve eventually lead to a great compromise for the series. On the other hand now XIII has “LOL Juggles.”
Fuck XIII.

0.5 or preferably 0.3 mechanical pencils (used with graphite pencils) are great for doing hyperrealistic artwork, on their own i dont find them that useful.

at least XIII’s gameplay and environment was enjoyable, as was more of the cast. When the lowest tier character characterwise was Hope in the face of Vaan, Penelo, and Ashe, it’s no contest. Plots in both blow, but I can overlook that much more in XIII considering it was more of a character study than a story, whereas XII was the opposite (and a ripoff at that). Sahz is one of the better characters Square’s ever come up with, IMO.
