Have you guys ever fantasized about someone breaking into your home and then you’re able to kill them without legal repercussions? Every male I’ve asked so far as said yes. Then I joked about how killing someone to protect yourself and your loved ones is likely a fundamental experience we’re missing out on. Killing people prevents prostate cancer.

Well, despite this currently increasing stomach pain and burning the roof of my mouth again (apparently, since I’m pretty indifferent to hot temperatures within reason), I actually feel quite a bit better having heard from my best/only friend. It was great to know that his marine training is going well enough and that he got deployed to a ship rather than…something else. Also good to know that he’ll be stationed back in California before he’s shipped out since I wasn’t sure when I was going to get see him again.

Probably given that annoying shit like that was the reason that news threads started popping in the first place. That and the majority of those threads being depressing affairs where people said stupid shit; they still do if that woman gets decapitated in Spain thread is any indication, which isn’t surprising.
I honestly don’t even go to the main pages of General Discussion anymore unless someone mentions something I’m not subscribed to, due in no small part to the sub-forum navigation link having mysteriously disappeared for the worse all those months ago.

True, it’s perhaps a bit out of character, but adaptations almost always have some element of that. Besides, I was replying to Million and you know what he tends to focus on.
That said, what “day job” would you want her to have? Of the “big three”, she spends the least time in her alter ego, if she even maintains one since a lot of time she hasn’t. When she does, she was pretty much always just a mediator and an ambassador, and while that would have been an interesting thing to try to go with, I can see why they’d try to go with economic intrigue rather than political intrigue. That and, even if they some got past seeming hypocrisy of being an ambassador by day and then beating the shit out of people with pretty much no limitation (especially since Wonder Woman WILL kill you if she has to), they’d have to deal with the fact that Reed Richards is Useless because (real life) Status Quo is God/Zeus.
So basically, as her “normal” job, she ends up likely being a horrible person whether she decides to act or not, because, really, even if she’s just sticking around America and not fucking people up in like North Korea or Dafur or something, there’s still a bunch of shit that she should be able to solve by circumventing the very diplomatic she’s supposed to take. Her being a serious businesswoman is probably the best thing they could have done otherwise–not to say that it’s necessarily good, but then I wasn’t even aware of this show until earlier today. I mean, pretty much anything else just ends up a copy of one of the male superheroes jobs since at least Batman’s Bruce Wayne persona acts like a playboy.
That said, yeah, it would have been nice to see another Wonder Woman series, but I don’t trust NBC to do it after Heroes or, hell, keep it around if it was actually good.

Yea they could probably make the CEO thing work but i remember reading the article on it and thinking it sounded incredibly dumb. There was something about that just wasn’t working for me. I’ll also say I thought he costume looked pretty ass and not because of the pants. I really have no problem with the pants. Hell I actually really liked the redesign DC did recently where they gave her pants. I thought it looked great. The shows costume tho looked like it was made of cheap plastic and pleather. I dunno just nothing about it looked good aside from the woman they got to play WW was pretty hot.
And I finished Portals single player but with PSN down i don’t have anyone to run the co-op with yet so I haven’t gotten to watch the Seb/Damdai co-op vids yet. I’m kind of close to just saying fuck it tho and watching them anyway.

Guilty as charged on the Wonder Woman issue. I could forgive it being unbelievably campy if they would’ve retained the TnA factor. However, putting PANTS on Wonder Woman? Nah, get the hell out of here with that. I’m still wondering what kind of douche comes up with such an idea as to give WW some pants…it must’ve been either a straight and uptight woman or possibly a closet(or out)-homosexual man…or someone that’s just amazingly uptight and only cares for “wholesome” family-oriented entertainment (these folks are the ultimate party-poopers in life. )
Oh and besides the outfit… I don’t think the actress was hot enough anyway. She needs more curves. Wonder Woman should not be super-model thin, imo. I could see Jessica Biel being cast as WW. She’s the only famous choice that comes to mind that already has a muscular-but-feminine build. (Most other famous names at the moment are too thin or not tall enough, or simply don’t have any of the looks that are appropriate for the character) One could also just get a random good-looking volleyball player. That sport tends to produce some truly amazing bodies. Girls should be required to start playing volleyball early in life and on up to the end of high school. Just imagine the results you’d get out of that program.

Yeah, I agree about the plastic leggings, but I also remember quite a few people were pissed off at the cloth redesign you’re talking about and her just generally wearing pants. (Gasp!) It’s weird too because, even with the thong, there’s really no reason that Wonder Woman’s costume should really have any plastic on it outside of maybe the tiara. Maybe cloth leggings looked equally as bad? I doubt that though…
You could always just wait 17 more days (provided that Sony doesn’t fuck up or get fucked up again).

As for the pants issue, it was mostly like The Moral Guardians as only the most batshit of (straw) feminists actually seem to have problems with Wonder Woman’s lack of pants (and even a lot of them probably find the lack of pants empowering) and very few strictly homosexual men are that vagina-phobic. Besides, it’s not like cover up her legs with pants magically gets rid of her vagina anyway, so it seems more like something that FCC or whatever would do. (Warning: TVTropes.)
Been noticing Morrigan’s damage output is kinda crap for all her mobility =/ been having some success with Wolvie/Dorm/Sent though…
