you realize middle-aged white people are one of the largest record buying and most dependable segments of the population, right?
you do realize that’s the “generation” you’re speaking about, right?
if i said, “james brown was the voice of a generation” in the 60’s, i’m clearly not speaking about white people. whether or not white people also listened to and liked his music is irrelevant to that statement.
They’re attacking you ability to judge the value of something, it’s worth, not your ability to like it. Thats why your a dumb ass. you can’t tell the difference between then two. It’s much the same as calling Classical Music shit without ever taking into account it’s impact and value. You’re welcome to not like it but to take away from it its impact and value on music as a whole would make you a retard in much the same was doing such to the Beatles makes you a retard.
whatever, guy. you can go back and read, the only thing i said about the beatles was that i don’t like them (FACT), their lyrics are/were dumb/silly (FACT) and they made teeny bopper pop (FACT).
i’m being attacked by peripheral tools that chronically feel the need quote me, yourself included.
Well no, your making grand sweeping generalizations about their entire portfolio when really only parts of their work are silly/stupid/goofy/made for tiny boppers, but i don’t see why thats a strike against the beatles but Spears and the like get a pass. A lot of their shit is just as vapid. Also aside from this post, I’ve only quoted you once so my quoting you is in fact not chronic.
Besides if you cared as little as you like to put on you’d stop responding to them quoting you but really you keep responding and chronically quoting them as they are doing to you so you’re just as much to blame. They respond to what you have to say and then you respond in kind. You’ve fueled this just as much as they have.
true but Blizzard is still just consistently better. many of their projected dates for games are actually realistic. Valve says “a week” that means a month. they say tomorrow, it means one week at the very end of the week. Blizzard overall never puts up a timeframe and just keeps it vague which is fine rather than give me false hope.
No, hate seeing familiar avatars/poster banned. It make it all that more difficult to keep track of the interesting personalities around here. Like CLU 2?
yeah this thread got serious. i’m not posting my music list.
i’m hype for this computer i’m about to build… this guy is finally acting like he’s not going to back out either (he’s been bugging me on and off for almost 2 years, and then cancelling when i’m ready to make it.) if he walks out right before i click checkout (which will be the time when i tell him how much i’m charging him for the work), i’m gonna be upset and will probably have to kill myself because i need the money to go to New Orleans because i’m the best man at my friend’s wedding and he expects me to pay for everything.
also SWBeta is black. know how i know?
Boel allowed a fat chick to systematically rape him just so he could appeal to her motherly instincts of feeding and sheltering a person.
music lists and legendary bands are two different things…hell, I have like 300 Final Fantasy remixes. Not gonna start discussing the generational impact of . But bands, and musicians, who have bridged cultures/generations/time shouldn’t even be debatable. I get not liking them, but to say they don’t deserve the acclaim they have garnered, is just retardedly wrong
i demand to know more about Boel and the fat chick
Lyrics don’t matter that much to me… they’re almost totally irrelevant to whether or not I enjoy the music. My focus is always first and foremost on whether or not it sounds good in the first place.
I watched a friend play through MvC3 for the first time the other day, and to my surprise…he actually went through the entire arcade mode and beat Galactus on the first try. This is surprising to me since the guy has never been a fan of fighting games, and is usually completely lost when it comes to the gameplay mechanics going on there. He still knows enough to remember the “hadouken/fireball”, “dragon punch” and “hurricane kick” motions, so with that + the basic info I told him, along with random button mashing… it was enough for him to play thru on Normal difficulty at least. Haha, of course I still beat him though…even with my average and extremely rusty/generally sloppy level of skills and execution. No, this isn’t my old pal “Dumbass”.
