i finished The Manipulated Man yesterday. it sucks when you see and hear the exact bullshit she’s talking about from every girl you come in contact with (well around here). the people in the chauvinist thread need to be informed of her.
Luther is indeed an incredible show, I honestly can’t predict anything right down to the season finale. So many twists and turns, but not enough to confound you.
Sure it’s another step at first, but once you get acclimated to it, the lack of having your drawing tool and hand/arm being in your field of vision/drawing space is totally liberating.
Prefer? So you’ve used a tablet PC or Cintiq before?
There are a ton of advantages to having a screen free from your hand obstructing your view. I’ll still look at my PC screen for coloring and finishing. For sketching and rendering, there’s no going back to that interface.
I’ve used Intuos3/4 for years, grew used to it as much as I can. But I learned… whatever I learned… by using a pencil and paper, so moving away from that will always be like learning another language or using your other hand to write. Cintiq, so far, is easily the most accurate bridge between paper and digital, so whatever helps me.
It’s definitely a luxury, but what isn’t? I’ve seen great art using a mouse.
