oh no I understand that but there’s so much of this community that is similar to the hardcore punk of the 80’s that was strict DIY. I don’t see many people understand what that means or seeing many people in the community having any respect for that. I remember hearing about all the stuff that took place while I was in Puerto Rico in interviews and just thinking: “Thanks man, I really appreciate that you guys did all that.”

The thing is that while SRK is the hub for tournaments and all that other jazz; asking SRK to also be the hub for all the games is a bit too much when this was a house founded on SF. Test Your Might is there for MK; dustloop is there for GG and BlazBlue; KoF has NeoEmpire in the UK/Europe if I remember correctly. It ain’t all the same everywhere.

Eternal Champions?

Hmm, never really played that game but I just took a look and I guess it would be something like EC. Here’s what I’ve written so far:

Exhaustion Gauge
Dictates how often you can attack and how often you can block, among other things. The Ex gauge has multiple applications:
[LIST]
[]It can prevent infinite combos naturally
[]It can eliminate the need for heavy damage scaling
[]Players cannot block forever, i.e. turtle.
[]It provides another method for players to tip the scales in their favour beyond reducing the opponent’s health to zero. Players could revolve their playstyle around demolishing the opponent’s stamina.

The Ex gauge will recover on its own fairly quickly. The player can spend 50% of their special gauge to instantly recover their Ex gauge. By incorporating this technique into combos, the player can create combos not possible otherwise.
When the gauge is reduced to 0, the player will be unable to attack momentarily and the gauge will not recover for a few seconds. If they try to block during this time, they will be guard crushed. The following actions reduce the Ex gauge:

[]All attacks (light attacks use a little, heavy attacks use more, supers use 50%)
[]Running/back dashing/evasion
[]Blocking
[]Receiving a counter hit

Jumping or walking does not consume the gauge.
