19 years ago, I stayed up until 3AM to watch AMP on MTV. I saw the video for Around the World. Then I downloaded the MIDI. Then I got an MP3 (whatever the hell that is). Been a huge Daft Punk fan ever since. (They are my favorite artists and have been for 16 years.)
(Iâve the sudden urge to go hook up my Gamecube and play some Sonic & Knuckles 3. HmmmâŚ)
Huh. I didnât know the guy who played Jonathan in Buffy was the writer for behind things like The Butler, Game Change, and, mostly recently, that Empire show.
Ah. A man of good taste I see, even though I personally think that Elizabethâs teamâs song is the best in the game:
These kids talking about staying up late. I was doing that shit 20 years ago. When I had my surgeries and had to stay home for several months Iâd stay up just to watch 2 Stupid Dogs and Secret Squirrel on Cartoon Network, followed by the 3AM Geraldo. Yâall ainât shit.
Just bought 3 of these to make a RAID 5 array with and now Iâm wondering if I should have gotten another. I should sell my SATA SSD and get 2 more, but then I canât use my Terrabyte drive unless I make it external.
Them bitches are $10 a piece. I should put as large an array of them as I can on every system I own and make a NAS. Might have to get 13 more of them. For that price I could get a single 2TB RAID 5 array, but thatâs not as cool as having three 480 GB arrays. In fact, I should partition 10 GB off one of them and then create a 20 GB JBOD with a single 10 GB recovery partition that in turn gets backed up to a 10GB thumb drive. That way if a disk fails, I can always recover the entire disk. I can put my most important writing files there and practically have relatively unlimited space, since writing takes up such little space. But Iâm not 100% sure you can do that across multiple arrays. If I understand it correctly, RAID is done at the hardware level, so itâs partition independent, so it should work.
Then I can buy a huge array of 3+ TB disks and back it all up as images on a PC at my dadâs house so I can recover if my house ever burns down.
HmmmâŚ
Working on this to see if itâs even worth my time.
Diboux has rekindled my bad habit of drinking energy drinks. I drank his Rockstar by accident today. I normally drink the mocha Monsters, but that damn Rockstar had TWICE the caffeine. Iâm a coffee drinker, but I donât trust energy drink sources.
(Oh hey, Project Justice. I havenât seen anyone talk about that in forever, including Capcom unfortunately.)
To this day it still annoys me how horribly Kyosuke got translated into CvS2 as much as I still like CvS2âthat I feel the same way about poor King should go without saying, especially given she was actually good in CvS1.
Anyway, if weâre starting VGM Friday slightly early, then I have to say that the most memorable song in Project Justice for me is the one in Kurowâs ending:
