“Nothing is set in stone, so I might reconsider,” the judge said in a court hearing in the case in Tarrant County, Texas.

The judge eventually will determine how many further days Couch will have to serve in jail as a long-anticipated condition of his probation upon turning 19.

He can theoretically beat ONE testicle, but I doubt he would prevail against both. The criminal justice system in this country is so fucked up if you’re poor (and/or a minority) but is so accommodating if you’re rich (and usually white.) I’d like to say that I am leaps and bounds more understanding than the regressive left when it comes to issues like “privilege”, especially when it comes to race instead of class, but it’s people like this Ethan Couch guy that make me wish that justice really was blind so justice can go Zatoichi on his bitch ass. Seriously, the “affluenza” argument is probably the shittiest defense I’ve ever heard. “He doesn’t understand how to be accountable for his actions because he grew up wealthy.” Okay? That’s when I, if I were that judge, would say “okay well this is the perfect opportunity for you to learn from your mistakes and be Tyrone’s bitch for 15-25 years.”

It’s so fucking stupid when this guy can’t even own up to his mistakes and uses shitty excuses (that succeed) while the loved ones of the victims get no justice, meanwhile in Louisiana, some (poor and black) guy is going to get life in prison for stealing $31 dollars worth of fucking candy. If only for one day that Dave Chappelle skit was a reality and “pillars of society” could get fucked over while “scumbags” and “undesirables” get off easy if not scot free.
