I can say that I went to Public and Private schools. Like @EPIDEMIC said, it is night and day. When I transfered to a private school, I was severely behind in every subject. Once I can say that the education I received was good and really prepared me to make certain moves in the future.
I know here in Chicago, unless you are going to a private school, the charters really aren’t that good here. The school my daughter is in now, is a great public school. Unfortunately she may not be able to go back next year due to the ridiculously stupid placing system here in Chicago. How is it that we literally live four blocks from her school, and she is #92 on the waiting list, but a school that is literally 20 minutes away is where she is #2 on the waiting list. They say its proximity to the school, but that is bullshit because her current school is 4 blocks away as opposed to a 20 minute drive.
Are STEM Syllabi Gendered? A Feminist Critical Discourse Analysis came up with the conclusion that We Must Make STEM Courses ‘Less Competitive’ to Be More ‘Inclusive’ of Women
Did you even show them a map of how stupid they are?
I mean showing them how far you live to the closer (and preferred) school?
Or did they all shut their eyes and ears going LALALALALALALA.
I’m going punch this retarded girl in the face if she tells me my shoe is untied one more time. I actually pretended to fall for it, once. I thought, maybe that’ll be the end of it. Nope. I don’t see how you could go home to that every day and not put out your cigarettes on it.
But how can STEM cater to women when they have that awful Newton’s ‘rape manual’ as the foundation of their teachings? ‘science is a male rape of female nature’!
