Interact with guards and staff? Wtf you on about. Several penitentiaries, far as my own research can tell, the guards are told not to talk to the inmate unless absolutely necessary. They come, drop your food, leave, come take you outside, watch, leave. That’s about 23 hours a day alone.
And to those putting up pics of how nice the prison cell is, remember: prison is prison. You have no more freedom to do what you want. That sucks way more than comfort in the cell.
