I bet you the majority/all of them won’t be, both new consoles have completely different hardware in their machines. Neither console is looking to have BC because of this.

This is if you can even access those games in a few years. Once/if Live 2.0 goes down, Nick will feel the pain SNAAAAKE did when Live 1.0 went down taking away CvS2 online. <span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”>:-q

Don’t sell your consoles if you value the games.

Guess Nick will have to get MvC2 UHD for 24.99.
Maybe Snaaake will get CvS2 with netplay on PS4 in UHD.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultra_high_definition_television

I doubt next gen consoles can even handle such resolutions.
I’m wondering if MvC2 (and origins for that matter) will make it to the next-gen. I really hope so, I don’t want to have to actually learn Wolverine in MvC1 or XvSF

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>People are playing at 4K resolutions right now, if your PC/monitor can handle it. I’ve tried this personally, and while there is supposedly a risk, no one’s monitor/GPU has died off trying this. I couldn’t get much out of my 720p monitor, so I’m going to try it out on my 1080p HDTV once I nab a longer HDMI cord.

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>

<font face=“Arial, Verdana” size=“2”><span style=“line-height: normal;”>I know there’s only a few PC gamers in the lounge, but regardless, some of you guys might think this is cool. I think I’d be mostly ok with live 2.0 shutting down if I was still able to re-download my content when I needed to. It would be ludicrous if I was just to lose hundreds of dollars in games just because Microsoft is too lazy to work around their own system. Not to mention the fact that sometimes you can’t even play your own games if you’re not connected to XBL, the stupidity of such a concept which still baffles me. <div style=“font-weight: normal; font-style: normal;”>

I really, <i style=“font-weight: bold;”>really need to start getting more into PC gaming. The limits of console gaming are just far too great at this point for me to ignore all the great shit that happens exclusively on PC. I can’t afford the PC that I want, and I imagine upragdes/upkeep and the like are also on the costly side. <span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”>:((

Dat always-online DRM. Do a lot of games on Xbox do that? On PS3 the only games I know of are Final Fight: Double Impact and I think Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2. Capcom got a lot of shit for it and never implemented it again outside of those two games I believe.

PC’s are way cheaper than you might think, and you don’t need a crazy high-end PC to run modern games at full settings and high resolutions either. If you can re-use your current PC case and power supply, you can save a lot of money. It’s what I did, and if you do, you can buy a I3-I5 CPU for like 125-170ish, 8GB of ram for like 30-50, a GeForce 650 GTX for a 150 and a motherboard for a 100-150ish. I’m going to exchange my PC parts soon, because in just a few months all of my hardware dropped in price, and noticeable upgrades are now the same price as my hardware now. <span style=“font-family: ‘lucida grande’, ‘Lucida Sans Unicode’, tahoma, sans-serif; line-height: 1.7em;”>You can build a really good PC with better specs of next-gen systems for the same price.

Yeah. Actually, with arcade titles, I’m pretty sure they all revert to trial status if you don’t have an internet connection.

^@Martian @Sonicbid All systems have id numbers and I think the hardrive has an id number assigned to it too…

You can’t take 1 hardrive and slap it on a another system and expect to play your downloaded games… don’t work like that bruh…

Other than indie games, you don’t need a constant internet connection to play most-all games…
I’d bet money that this is exactly what will happen… none of the Live Arcade games will work with Xbox 3, and few or none of the PSN games will work with PS4. You can usually be accurate in predicting most things in life by asking that question— “What is the most annoying possible shit that could happen regarding this issue… scenario A or scenario B?” If Scenario A is 10x more annoying and worse than Scenario B…well there’s your answer, just like that. This is how the world works. Non-stop disappointment and bullshit 100% of the time.

At least it will be fun to enjoy the downloadable games until the day when the service is shut down…funny how we don’t really own the games anymore, isn’t it? Yeah, eat my asshole, gaming industry. I hope 99% of the rat bastards get hit by a bus.

*Nancy Grace has more coverage of the Jodi Arias trial of course… it sounds like the couple had some HOT things going on. Recordings of their freaky phone conversations are being aired too… this is delicious.

You know this attorney wants to go into further detail with the questions for her… like “…so how often did you let him unload on your face? Were you wearing the schoolgirl uniform at the time, Ms. Arias?”
I have finally forsaken you, Nathan Drake. Sorry, but Kat just plain shits all over you. Never lookin’ back.
If you get a new system or replace the hard drive, you’re still entitled to a license transfer of your content, which enables play of XBLA games and access to DLC without having to connect to XBL.
