*Isn’t it annoying when friends repeatedly try to sway your opinion on a game they’re looking forward to? Y’know… a game that looks like crap to you, but for some reason they’re wild about it. (because they want you to play whatever co-op modes with them) There’s 2 I know that occasionally have questionable taste in games… and as of recently they’re intending to get Aliens: Colonial Marines. I’m a fan of the early Aliens movies at least, but I suppose it’s just a casual interest at best… they’re not the greatest movies of all time to me… not something I could talk about for HOURS like a certain other friend that just popped into mind (seriously, the guy could talk to you for an entire day about Aliens franchise-related stuff…he has the H.R. Giger books with the art, tons of the figurines, the whole deal. It’s almost like that’s his religion, basically.). Every time I’ve seen video of this game it just looks worse and worse to me… and now that some gamers apparently got it early, the general opinion seems to be exactly that— apparently the game is indeed a turd. The shit looks so incredibly boring.

5 best shows of all time. I challenge myself to come up with such a list from time to time. I never get all 5, but DBZ, Prison Break, and Supernatural are in there. Lost would make the list, but I couldn’t force myself to finish the last season.

…hmmm…maybe Boston Legal…yeah, that came to mind before anything else, so I’d go ahead and put it up there in this “off the top of my head” TV Show Magnificent 5. Ah, and then Nip/Tuck came to mind…maybe it would go into the “honorable mention” category. I’d most likely be in the minority on that one though… most fans of that show seemed to hate the later seasons for some reason. To me, it just got more hilarious and over the top as time went on, and I loved every minute of it.
It’s tough doing just a general top 5 though in terms of entertainment… it seems more sensible to me to break it down to categories, like sitcoms, dramas/soaps, animated, etc. An old classic that just came to mind from the sitcom category is The Honeymooners. I was probably one of the few from my generation that was watching those syndicated repeats on a regular basis. Oooh and Twilight Zone… yeah, TZ is definitely a top-rank contender, regardless of category.
