So I just worked an overnight job installing self-checkout registers at a Wal-Mart. Was actually really easy, and mostly involved 13 hours of standing around, waiting an hour at a time to press a button, then waiting some more. I had the chance to leave at 10 PM and add a few hours to my timesheet, but declined that and ended up getting more hours than that would have gotten me. I was paid hourly, including sleeping for an hour in the back seat of my car. Booyah.
Buuuuut now that I’ve made it home (with a King Cake, no less) I’m delirious. Sleep. coma

I’m so fucking pissed right now. I can’t even continue what I was working on, and I’m trying desperately to fix the situation.
So I had a job interview that went really well. I was called in for a second that interview that also went well, or so I thought. I just found out I wasn’t considered for the job because of a question I asked them, which they totally misunderstood. I asked them if I would be performing any additional duties beyond the main task, which they apparently took to mean that I wasn’t interested in just doing the main task, which is programming. They know that I’m a programmer first and foremost, and even told them that I regularly go to game jams (48-hour events where you do nothing but code). Now because of their misunderstanding, I may have lost my best chance at something decent for a change.
I can’t understand why this is happening to me.
