The entire Marvel series are Capcom’s party FG’s. They’re fun to play, but as competitive fighters I can never take them seriously, due to infinite combos and a myriad of other stupid shit that makes me think anyone who takes them seriously as a competitive fighter is fucking retarded. No matter how good you play, no matter how much knowledge of matchups and the game itself you might have, you’re going to have to deal with random-ass shit and stupid-ass game mechanics that a lot of the time don’t even belong in a fighting game, and also make no sense from a gameplay or design perspective. Marvel series is fun, but also pretty fucking dumb.
Alpha 2 is one of the greatest FG’s of all time and you all should play that shit more, especially if you’re a big fan of ST/CvS2. Alpha 2 to me is like a more refined ST in some ways mechanic-wise, I love that damn game so much.
