SRK Lounge the It's too early for me to think of something edition

I ain’t gonna lie, I think I got my first wood seeing that shit. Mai was pretty much the reason I wanted to try out KoF when I was 12. Oh so jiggly

What. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat.
How… you… no… Berserk? BERSERK? The BEST MANGA OF ALL TIME?! What is WRONG WITH YOU?!

I’m not even going to recommend it, just fucking do whatever, I’m through with you.

I need a Dark burger in my life.

I’m half-Mexican and I don’t feel that way. I’m enjoying Gasp! UMVC3. Last SNK game I played was NGBC/KOFXI at my arcade when I used to go,

That’s one moldy bun :\

See, I completely disagree with the DLC thing. I would MUCH rather see game companies, especially fighting game companies, monetize games over the long term by adding content to the existing game than keep cranking out new variations on the previous version in order to keep a revenue stream going.

Regarding Mai, fuck her titties. What makes me happiest is her new voice. It’s 1 gajillion percent more enjoyable to listen to than her old one.

I wanted to get ultimate but when it came out the funds werent available. It looks like a fun game but my desire to actually purchase it is gone. I’ve always liked kof and after hearing the positive reviews I’m leaning towards getting it

I’m kinda with Warp on this one, especially when it comes to fighting games. I’d much rather spend 10 or 20 bucks on a character pack, then probably twice that going out (Gas money spent here to) to pick up a new version of a game i already own, just with more people and some minor tweaks in it.

I can understand being off put by DLC characters available as soon as the KOFXIII ones are, but as a long term way to support a fighting game like KOFXIII (Or any other fighter for that matter, really) I don’t see it as a bad thing. I think SNK should have held onto the DLC characters, made more new people and just tossed em all into a value pack for download. It would be received better for starters, and it would help in creating long life for the game in the way that updates already do.

A character pack that fixes the online would be ideal.

Mai’s new stance is odd. It doesn’t make sense. Ash’s stance reflects his personality, he just doesn’t like to put in effort. K’s shows that he just doesn’t give a damn in the first place. Mai’s doesn’t pass for a fighters stance or a ninja or ignorantly happy. It’s just down to showing how insanely jiggly her breasts became and they made them even bigger. She’s just fap-meat which is what her stance says. If you rotate her model in the customization menu, her ass cheeks are out. So her stance is a doggy style stance. Odd.

And yeah, at times things just need to end. Change too much and you’ll be back to what made the product successful in the first place. Drag it out too much and it’ll become a failure. Like Dexter season 6 apparently.

The only things that didn’t take effort with Ash are his character design and move list.

I’d rather play Ash than Guile. Sucks that he lost his unblockable launcher though. I would play Ash but I cannot play charge characters.

You know, I don’t even like Mai but when she says “Ryu En Bu”, I can’t help but think that she sounds sexy. Odd as hell.

And yeah I agree with your view. DLC missions/content of slightly altered re-releases all the way.

Well, that’s it. After over half a year of sitting in the arcade, broken down with a blank screen, the CvS2 machine is finally gone.

Bummer.

Regarding the Ryuenbu…I thought it was just me. Also, I like how she sounds kind of…intrigued? when she says kachosen, as opposed to like a 12 year old that just got kicked in the shins like the old Mai. Also, regarding sexy redesigns, I am all about new Leona. Even with that silly ass roll “animation.”

Guess it’s really time to go pick up KOFXIII now.

I’ve said this since day one. It’s the NUMBER ONE reason this gen has been a fucking sad sad waste of a joke. All these games come out half done, or bare bones, then offer shit they SHOULD have put in the full game as DLC or add ons or pre-order bonuses. Halo 3 should have had 3 maps coming out each new quarter. No need to buy another halo to add items and a few new maps. There should have only been SFIV, and EVERY fucking character should have been DLC. There was ZERO need to make a new copy for all these games.

I can get a PC game and patch the mother fucking shit out of it, run custom mods, get new maps and characters, and all of this with ZERO hassle. Consoles need to get rid of their stupid fucking DLC fees (if you need to patch a game for ANY reason or add ANY dlc, MS or Sony charge you money on top of the % they get of sales of the DLC). This is why companies like Valve now try to avoid releasing on console unless necessary. They HATED what Orange Box and Team Fortress 2 became on the 360.

Imagine SFIV if they could just throw out 1 new character every month, rather than a new disk to add 4 fucking characters.

If they pull this shit next gen, you better believe I will be torrenting the FUCK out of most games on my PC, and possibly modding any future console I get. Paying full price for a game, just to get raped a few months later for retarded fees, is a complete joke

This made me very sad. Everyone should bow their head and give a moment of silence.

(Oh fuck. I have to multi-quote already. Sigh.)

While I’m thanking TVTropes*, I might as well thank it for reminding me of why I hate relationship drama and geometry. I don’t even like threesomes (in the sexual sense), but I think I can behind OT3s if it stopped with boring “Will They Or Won’t They” shit that assumes monogamy is the only morally viable relationship option.

It’s less the “jiggliness” and a lot more how unnecessarily exaggerated her stance is/has become. It’s like she’s aiming to be Athena’s next big-titted, wheelchair-bound fan when Kaoru (?) is still around.

Also, your reaction doesn’t surprise me.

Chill. I knew about *Berserk. *I just haven’t gotten around to reading it because I don’t like starting up old manga that are **still **going **and **have delayed hiatuses–*Hunter x Hunter *is the exception.

I knew about the Event and I’m not talking the NBC bullshit

Spoiler

I just didn’t know that Femto is what Griffith’s God Hand’s form’s name was/is.

I’ll probably get around to reading *Berserk *a lot sooner than I intended now, though, since it looks even better than I thought it did and now I only have like…4 or 5 manga to get through still since I destroyed *Bio-Meat *in two days.

I’d probably have way less of a problem with DLC characters if they were staggered out systematically like you’re implying they are. However, as they are now, they aren’t and I don’t think they’re going to be any time soon. DLC characters are pretty much always released within a month or two of the initial (console) release, which is doubly stupid since games generally don’t get good growth until at least six months in. So, basically, by forcing people to add another character in, they’re stunting/restarting the game’s growth for no good reason other than avarice that close to the start date; arguably, adding characters in every six months or so might be even worse, but at least it would allow the game time to go grow before adding forced, divisive aspects.

If it was like every six months or so they released one and only one DLC character, then it would still be kinda greedy, especially depending on how it was done/who was added and why. However, it would at least be staggered out and serve as manageable (if forced) “refreshment” rather than “buy these characters now or get your ass kicked” or “buy these characters now and waste your money because they’re garbage but you can’t take the chance they aren’t.”

Even then, though, whatever happened to just playing games because they’re good no matter how old they are? I think someone mentioned a thread or two ago how erroneous the “esports” name is because the community–and it’s hardly the Capcom one or even just the fighting game one–plays what’s new, not what’s necessarily good.

Agreed. The same seems to go for Athena, though to be truthful, I can’t remember the last time “Psycho Baaaaarrru!” was its old ear-destroying self.

If only it was odd. It’s like, even though characters like King, Mature and Elizabeth are in the same game, SNK (and, well, most fighting game companies) can’t see that you can make a female character sexy and keep her classy. I’m not going to be utterly prudish and say that Mai’s a whore or slut just because she has huge tits and happens to be wear very little for realistic mobility reasons. However, at the same time, her stance, as you said, is not functional at all and only serves to awkwardly attract attention to assets of hers that utterly unimportant to a fighting game.

Speaking of Ash and K’, as much as I don’t really like either character, yeah, their stances are good in that they both reflect the character and are amusing; ironically, I want to try Ash just because his stance **is **so bored-looking–also because I need to get better with SNK charge characters since I like Leona a lot.

Won’t know, though I could see it happen. It’s like good shows keep going past their prime not just because of money, but because so many other good shows end up getting canceled stupidly early so they (read: the company) might as well milk what they’ve got. Due to the state of TV and how reality TV keep popping up more and more to replace things that finally go off the air, I’m not even sure that’s a necessarily bad thing anymore. As much as I haven’t given a damn about *The Simpsons *in at least the past 5 or 6 years, I’d much prefer that stay on the air rather than it get inevitably replaced by *Flashmob *or some spin-off of American Idol.

I am not to blame if you get lot in TVTropes for hours. Seriously, not my fault.

This is correct.

I love them titties. Fuck you guys. The world needs more Asian chicks with big ass titties!

I left that out there to see who would run with it.
