man I’ve known perfectly normal people who just get hammered, and I dunno maybe TOO hammered (judging exactly how drunk somebody is isn’t exactly the easiest thing), too the point maybe they panick and just wanna get home or some shit. I’ve offered cabs, the use of couches/beds/my penis/sometimes even other people will offer em rides home, and they still would rather battle royale for their keys and mad dash outta there.

Montreal was the most fucked up driving I have ever witnessed. Rue St Laurent was a fucking nightmare. I saw 5 lane roads in Montreal become 1-2 lane roads due to a retarded combination of people parking on sides of busy streets, people DOUBLE parking on sides of busy streets, and people driving between the middle of two lanes. Thank God I just walked to Concordia
Montreal is actually the most consistent driving experience in the entire province but you have to be familiar with how it works. In quebec city you NEVER know what to expect.
Yeah, Quebec City is a nightmare, but from the french I know that live here, that’s like hardcore french central, as opposed to Montreal pretty much selling out looooong ago. And yes that goes economically too, I suppose.
I just got pissed driving back to Ontario. On the way to Kingston, you can shave off an HOUR of your time if you do like 180 km/h (about 115mph) the whole way. Which is nice considering the entire drive home from Montreal for me is like 8 hours if you don’t speed. Fucking quebec cops LOVE to wait for cars with Ontario plates to start picking up speed early, then nail em with max fines. They should have manditory english cops in Quebec. I would love to see how (horrible bloodshed and carnage) that would turn out.
It’s a scary drive in too, considering you start seeing more and more license plates reminding you the french will NEVER forget. But they tell you in french, those sneaky fucks. And they forget to remind you that although they never forget, they always surrender, so it’s a moot point.
