I have a dilemma, where I’ve been wanting to learn the game for a VERY long time, but never had anybody who was interested in learning it with me, so my entire time with the game was learning combos I read off of Dustloop, watching and drooling over real matches, getting bodied at Evo 2k7 in casuals because I didn’t know what I was doing, and playing a lot of 1P mode, locking shit the fuck down with Venom, and doing combo exhibitions with Milla. I’ve asked everybody that I meet that’s into fighters if they want to learn / play the game, and I’ve gotten everything from “I don’t play anime fighters”, “I don’t play games that aren’t Capcom fighters”, “I wont play a shittier BlazBlue” - wtf, and "What game?"
I’m so hype that I can finally learn to play the game!

if you’ve got dat xbox then you should get at me and we need to get some games in whenever that shit drops. i don’t play too many other fighters at this point besides kof13 and mvc2 (sometimes, even though i’m mad rusty), oh and tekken 6 until tag 2 comes out.

but i am basically in that same boat with no actual comp to play gg, i’d just end up wrecking my friends with potemkin and they would stop playing. same way with any game not made by capcom, fuckers quit on me when we finally got hokuto no ken.the only non capcom title i could get comp in around here was fucking tekken tag and tekken 4, but i pretty much dominated my friends at those as well. but 2 or 3 would continue playing and ended up getting to the point where we would have good matches, man i miss those TTT days. it didn’t used to be so bad, either. at least until the new capcom games were sf4 and mvc3. i’d rather play CFJ then either of those pieces of filth.

So basically what you are saying is that if Mixah and I play you it’s going to be Secret Garden spamming, looking to farm openings on your tank.

There have already been two patches. Matchmaking is still asshole, but regional gaming is great. 200 miles away is NYC… and it’s fine connecting to there.

The dudes in my area ONLY played Conquest… I raped everybody with my Voldo because nobody could adapt to much else than the CPU, sans like a dozen including myself.
About 9 of us were training for Evolution CONSTANTLY… and about six bailed out, so we didn’t go

edit: i actually do, or rather used to play a bit of millia. until i saw the light and moved to the big dude.

edit2: i have my ps2 hooked up still, which will never be moved. simply for the chance of someone accepting my challenge to play some hokuto. raoh is that dude, but i’ve recently found some hilariously fucking silly shit with mr heart and hitting people with mamiya’s rough rider (motorcycle) super never fails to entertain. rolled a friend of mine 50 games straight alternating between those 2 characters because my raoh makes everyone i know quit fast as fuck.

well as i mentioned before, i gravitate to grapplers and since potemkin has all sorts of options for movement as well as big dmg off pretty much anything i enjoy him immensely.

Get yourself SC5 and play Astharoth. A chunk of his moves lead to grabs on counterhit and he has a command grab that leads to easy 40% combo with half a bar of meter.
