Well then, you ought love it.

I think Sketchbook is by far the best concept art program out there… that pencil tool is godlike.

The more I see of Adele, the more I’m liking her…she’s looking especially cute tonight. Yep…she’d get pounced immediately.

*The SC5 update-- heh, there’s an achievement just for beating one particular character in the Quick Battle mode(“Harada TEKKEN”, an A-rank character using Devil Jin’s fight style), and surprisingly I got it. Anyway, today was pretty good progress on my crazy cast of characters…
-added actual blood-red bat wings to my character “Blood Wings”.
-added some more detail to “Tank” zombie character from the L4D franchise…now he looks more accurate, with some blood stains and scarring on his face, and some putrid-looking yellowish skin. (D.Jin fight style of course)
-He-Man has been added, and he looks 10x more bad-ass than the cartoon and action figure versions.
-A green shit character has been made now… tentatively named “Green Trrd”, I gave him the “minotaur” head…colored dark green with an interesting fecal texture.
-Selket from Unreal Championship 2 has joined the battle. (Cervantes style)
-The vibrator character, “IL VIBRATTO”, has been updated with a face and head that looks even more…phallic. The devs were asking for it on this one… that’s what they get for putting a helmet in the game that happens to look like that, and granting the players the ability to use “balls” as a special accessory that can be moved to various areas on the character. Next up is a titty-faced robot, because they had the audacity to bring back the “titty-face helmet” from SC4.

Surprise! White people love white people who sound black. Best of both worlds!!!

Allstate has been looking for a white Dennis Haysbert for years.

Simplified: white people like black music.

Black people still have black music.

Someone on an IRC chat I’m in said that Google was giving away lots and lots of cents.

I said “makes no cents to me”.

I did good, right?

For now.

FOR HOW LONG?

cause everyone knows black people made rock. thats why when you see a black guy at a metal concert, they say he needs to stop acting black.

white people like black music coming from a white persons mouth.

If I lose just 32 lbs I’ll be able to fit in Mugatu’s XXXL size spring collection. And that’s not even counting the weight I lose when my teeth get corroded by the acid induced by purging.

Black people made ALL music that white people use.

Black people made country.

Actually, it took its verse from the folk music that came from colonial days up until the frontier days, and the musical style from southern people in the hilltop areas (which is why it used to be called Hillbilly Music) along with cowboy tunes.

That said, Aaron Neville owns that shit.

(as a disclaimer, the only “country” I can stomach is Hank Williams Sr and Johnny Cash… but you kinda have to know this stuff living in Mississippi, given that the only thing we’re known for doing well is in the areas of music and writing.)

Death metal???

“Often, when many people think or hear country music, they think of it as a creation of European-Americans. However, a great deal of style—and of course, the banjo, a major instrument in most early American folk songs—came from African Americans.”

So says wikipedia and I didn’t even have to write that shit myself.

Country music = white people blues

death => heavy => rock => black people

ACF2 has been successfully 0wn3d!

its an offshoot of rock…so yes.

They actually don’t care about that as much as you’d think. When teen culture began to coalesce and teenagers started buying blues, jazz, and rock ‘n’ roll records, the sleeves never had the artist’s pictures or names. It was always generic pictures of white kids dancing, drinking soda, having chaste conversations, etc. It was more safely marketable that way.

The common denominator is that white people don’t care as long as they don’t have to think about the involvement of black people. Having a white person sing the songs is just one route to that destination.

I can’t argue that, but I noticed you didn’t note the next line:

“One of the reasons country music was created by African-Americans, as well as European-Americans, is because blacks and whites in rural communities in the south often worked and played together, just as recollected by DeFord Bailey in the PBS documentary, DeFord Bailey: A Legend Lost.”

So it looks like it was the first great inter-racial contribution between blacks and whites in the US. Huh. Kinda cool, but I still can’t stand the music. >.>
