Those are pretty fun. our playgroup has 3 of them: Return to Castle Ravenloft, some dragon stuff and I forgot what else. Only problem with them is that they have a ton of errata because some of the missions can be insanely hard. Otherwise they are pretty fun if you don’t have somebody who wants to DM.

When she died as Phoenix, they didn’t resurrect her at the end of the year. And my point was that comics deaths back then were more poignant. Look at the sheer number of people who’ve “died” since then? FFS, they took Frank Castle, chopped him to bits, and brought him back as Frankencastle. Then they just fix his ass back to full health at the end.
Then after all this easy death bullshit, you get Aunt May who can’t be saved from a bullet, by ANYTHING, besides Mephisto.
He was in the ground like 30 minutes, and we have 4 Supermen. By the end of that, we have Clark Kent back again, and no, it wasn’t a good 8 or 9 months…even if it was, so??? So you ‘kill’ a character off for like a handful of months? Batman’s death was longer.
lol I love that you probably had thesaurus.com open for half that paragraph. He doesn’t need to discuss how the shortened death of superman was a bad thing. His point was that they marketed it as his death, and then didn’t kill him, replaced him with four OBVIOUS fakes, and didn’t even fake his death for that long. I mean, he was dead like 15 mins, and then the corpse was gone, and replacements are everywhere. Then that shit ended with the real Supes showing up again. They didn’t even really have a proper mourning period. Then you look at comics since then, and the death of a character has became a lame ass gimmick, as simple and rudementary as a costume change.
…go on? My only problem with it was that Doomsday had no proper back history until after, and the comic had no brains behind it, and was basically a slobberknocker for dumbass fans to see Supes hit shit really hard, and a lot of stuff gets fucked up.
That and the fact he didn’t actually die, and you only felt bad for him for like one page, where Lois is cradling his head in her arms.

When I first saw the trailer for Crown, I was hooked. I might give it a look when it comes out, but it’s gonna be tough to fit in inbetween Old Republic and Amalur. Which are both considered void once D3 comes out.
$700 seem a bit pricey, i think $450 would be a good price for it…
